Today, let's cover Dodongo, another enemy type frequently seen as a boss, generally in the fire-type dungeons. They are generally giant lizards that crawl around on their bellies and can breathe fire, with tough hides that can only be damaged from the inside. Ocarina of Time is probably one of their best known appearances, though that one weirdly gave them two legs instead of four.

So, a lot of basic stuff here. They can breathe fire. They are also known to suck things in, including bombs (their main weakness). They can burrow up out of the ground, and can leap into the air to get at you if too far away. They can also curl up into a ball and roll after you. Nothing too complicated, but certainly enough. Also, on occasion, King Dodongo is the name for the big boss version of them, sometimes it's just Dodongo. Zelda II called them Kodongos, because Zelda II.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Fire Breath

The Dodongo will let out a massive breath of fire to torch anyone directly nearby.

Side B: Roll Up

The Dodongo will curl up into a ball and start rolling forward, a pretty standard tactic of the Ocarina boss.

Up B: Leap

Based on how King Dodongo got to you if you were too far away, it will leap up into the air and come back down hard.

Down B: Suction

The Dodongo will plant itself and start sucking in, a good way to suck up items or projectiles. Be careful not to use it to suck up anything explosive, since doing so will deal double the damage to your fighter.

Final Smash: King Dodongo

The Dodongo will blow up to gigantic size, appear behind the stage, and then spew fire across the length of it.

Entrance: It will dig up from under the ground.

Taunts: Up, the Dodongo will spew fire into the air. Side, the Dodongo will wiggle its tail back and forth like a puppy. Down, it will lay down and rest with its mouth open.

Thanks for reading! Next up, a boss that has so far only appeared in one game.
