Introduced in Ocarina of Time, Deku Babas are the Piranha Plants of the Zelda world, man-eating plants that inhabit wild forested regions. Unlike the Piranha Plants though, I suspect they will move around more like those walking Deku Babas that appear in Majora's Mask. Now, among their demonstrated abilities, there is their natural biting attack, the ability to crawl around on the ground, the ability to hang upside down, even underwater from lily pads, Mini-Babas which are basically Nippers, Boko Babas from Wind Waker that could swallow you whole, Big Baba the monstrous boss from Twilight Princess, Baba Serpents the hanging vines, and Diababa, another boss with multiple mouths and toxic fog. I probably should include the Deku Stick originally gleaned from their dead bodies.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Boko Swallow

The Deku Baba will lash out and bite an opponent, swallowing them whole. They will be trapped in their gullet for a short time.

Side B: Poison Smog

Just straight up smacking someone with a Deku Stick would probably work fine too, but Diababa's toxic smog works well as a nod to Piranha Plant's move in the same place.

Up B: Baba Serpent

The Baba will fling itself upward. If a ceiling is above it, it will stick itself to that ceiling for a short time, allowing the player to attack from above.

Down B: Mini Baba

The Baba will spit and plant a Mini Baba on the ground before it, which will then start snapping and act as a small hazard on the stage.

Final Smash: Diababa

Diababa will appear behind the stage, spewing smog and snapping with its three heads.

Entrance: It will pop up straight from the ground like in Ocarina of Time.

Taunts: Up, the Baba will stick straight up and snap like in Ocarina. Side, the Baba will bob its head back and forth as if tracking movement. Down, the Baba will lay flat on the ground and snap.

Thanks for reading! Next up, blobs.
