So, today, we cover the Chuchus, which are basically the Slimes of the Zelda world (see: Dragon Quest, That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime, so on). They are bland, mostly featureless blobs that don't particularly do much on the surface, but aren't totally without their abilities. Chuchus themselves first appeared in Majora's Mask around Termina Field, but similar creatures called Zols, Gels, and Buzz Blobs appeared all the way back in the original. I have no idea what the difference is.

Across the various games they appear in, they will generally pop up from the ground, hop at you in a small tackle, or sometimes drop from the ceiling. In some games, they had variants with elemental powers, such as sparking with electricity when someone gets too close, and in some games they would turn to stone if exposed to light. In some versions they can also split themselves into smaller Chus or combine into bigger ones.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Electrify

The Chuchu will surround itself in electricity for a second, zapping anyone who gets too close and stunning any attackers.

Side B: Split

The Chuchu will be able to split itself into three smaller Chus (maybe Zols) and then move around as a trio, or will combine back into one.

Up B: Chu Leap

Its most famous move being a basic leap, this makes sense to have the Chuchu simply charge itself for a second before leaping high into the air.

Down B: Petrify

It will turn to stone as if hit by sunlight. This will function in a similar way to Kirby's Stone ability.

Final Smash: Big Blob

Basically the giant Buzz Blob/Chuchu boss battle from Minish Cap (we're not there yet, but still). It will plop onto the stage and squish around, trapping fighters in its goo.

Entrance: It will pop out of the ground.

Taunts: Up, it will stick its head up into a more Buzz Blob-type look. Side, it will cough up a Chu Jelly. Down, it will melt into a puddle.

Thanks for reading! Next up, a certain living statue enemy.
