Character Sheet: U-Mos

U-MOS

And now, we have another set of characters, this time hailing from the Prime series of games. You'd think a series like Metroid wouldn't have that many, but we're pretty close to fifty now. Our new ones include:

1. Federation Mech

2. Rundas

3. Ghor

4. Gandrayda

5. Noxus

6. Sylux

7. Spire

8. Trace

9. Kanden

10. Weavel

11. U-Mos

12. Aurora Unit

13. Dark Samus

14. Meta Ridley

15. Metroid Prime

16. Emperor Ing

17. Gorea

18. Chozo Ghost

19. Mechanoid

20. Ing

21. Liquid Phazon

22. Quad

23. Phazon Elite

24. Berserker Lord

25. Labor Golem

Moving on from the Hunters, we now come to the Luminoth species from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, primarily U-Mos as the last survivor, but also the species as a whole, who appear as spirits here and there to help Samus restore their world and wipe out the Dark Aether consuming it.

The most prominent aspect of Metroid Prime 2 is the light and dark motifs, with the Luminoths representing the light, and thus making them a good pick to represent everything to do with Light Aether. This includes Light Armor, the Light Beam, the ability to travel through beams of light, the slow-moving but powerful Sunburst, and the power of the light temples activating to drive away the Dark Aether.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Light Beam

U-Mos will fire the light beam, which will function just as it does when used by Samus.

Side B: Beam Travel

A bright beam of light will appear before U-Mos, and he will travel rapidly along it.

Up B: Luminoth Flotation

His wings will flutter, causing him to float up into the air.

Down B: Sunburst

He will charge up and shoot a sunburst, which will move forward slowly as a projectile, before detonating after a short time.

Final Smash: Temples of Light

We will have a cutscene of all Luminoth temples lighting up, burning away the darkness and all of U-Mos's opponents.

Entrance: He will appear from a beam of light.

Taunts: Up, he will float with a beacon of light before him. Side, he will put his hands together and look mournful. Down, he will cover his face and cower away from the darkness.

Kirby Hat: His face and wings.

Kart: Based on a Light Beacon.

Special Move: He will be able to move at high speeds through a lighted area.

Spirit Battle: A horde battle on Planet Aether, stuck on the light side of the stage.

Victory Screen: Spreading his arms as the beacon lights up.

Losing Screen: Darkness consuming him and the world.

Color Swaps: His normal colors, a more greenish color, a reddish color, a blue color, a white color, a black color, a ghost version, and a Dark Luminoth version.

Thanks for reading! Next up, we have the Aurora Units that help out in Corruption.
