Character Sheet: Aurora Unit

AURORA UNIT

And now, we have another set of characters, this time hailing from the Prime series of games. You'd think a series like Metroid wouldn't have that many, but we're pretty close to fifty now. Our new ones include:

1. Federation Mech

2. Rundas

3. Ghor

4. Gandrayda

5. Noxus

6. Sylux

7. Spire

8. Trace

9. Kanden

10. Weavel

11. U-Mos

12. Aurora Unit

13. Dark Samus

14. Meta Ridley

15. Metroid Prime

16. Emperor Ing

17. Gorea

18. Chozo Ghost

19. Mechanoid

20. Ing

21. Liquid Phazon

22. Quad

23. Phazon Elite

24. Berserker Lord

25. Labor Golem

Today, let's finish up our ally characters with the Aurora Units, giant brain/AI things that strategize for the Federation and give Samus the information she needs. Sort of like Adam before Adam, and also maybe an evolution of the Mother Brain concept. The main reason they got a slot is the Aurora Unit on Phaaze that ended up being corrupted and acting as a boss battle.

Aurora Unit 313, and by logical extension, every other Aurora Unit, had tentacles that it could attack with, one large laser it could shoot, four smaller lasers to shoot, the ability to float, to spin rapidly, and laser orbs that it could throw out during the course of its boss battle.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Phazon Beam

It will shoot a single powerful beam of purple energy from its eye forward.

Side B: Tentacle Throw

It will lash out with its tentacles, snagging anything within reach (player or item), and toss them high into the air.

Up B: Rapid Spin

It will spin rapidly with its tentacles out, functioning in a similar way to a screw attack.

Down B: Turrets

It will latch itself down to the ground for a second, causing four turrets to pop up and fire in four directions.

Final Smash: The Destruction of Phaaze

It will do as it does when defeated, instigating a chain reaction that runs through the entire planet of Phaaze in a cutscene, causing it to explode and send everyone flying.

Entrance: It will start out attached to a Federation console.

Taunts: Up, it will raise itself up and over its opponents, studying them curiously. Side, it will look over readouts of its strategy. Down, it will power down and go to sleep.

Kirby Hat: Their outer shell.

Kart: Based on a Federation Ship.

Special Move: They will be able to create four turrets around themselves, that will shoot at anything that comes near.

Spirit Battle: A giant battle on Phaaze.

Victory Screen: Phaaze will explode and the AU and several soldiers will cheer.

Losing Screen: The thing will spark and fall apart as the planet starts to explode.

Color Swaps: Their normal color, a color scheme based on Norion, Bryyo, Elysia, the GFS Valhalla, and Phaaze, and color schemes based on Samus and Dark Samus.

Thanks for reading! Next up, we cover the main villain of the Metroid Prime series!
