Nightmare

NIGHTMARE

As Link recovers from his crash and explores Koholint Island, it starts to become clear that all is not as it seems. He works his way up to the egg atop the mountain in order to awaken the Wind Fish from its nightmare, unaware that doing so will cause the island itself to disappear.

This nightmare however will not go down quietly. Having taken on a life of its own, it attacks Link, taking up the role of final boss. Link will have to fight it through several rounds of battle, with it taking on different forms reminiscent of old foes from his own past.

As a fighter, Nightmare will have a constantly shifting form as it takes on different shapes for different attacks. Its moveset will pull from all of its battle phases, including those referencing older boss fights.
