EZLO
Four Swords proved popular enough as a concept that a full game based on the idea was released for the Nintendo Game Cube, and a third game in the series was released for the Game Boy Advance a short time later. This game told the origin story of Vaati as a strange mage who turned Zelda to stone to try and steal an ancient power. Link, setting out to stop him, meets a talking cap who acts as his guide for the adventure.
This is Ezlo, a Minish sorcerer and the former mentor of Vaati, who was betrayed by his student and transformed into the cap. He helps Link by teaching him to shrink down to Minish size, allowing Link to switch between the normal Hyrule and the minuscule world of the Picori.
As this adventure’s guide, it only fits that he pick up the unique gimmicks of the game, specifically everything to do with shrinking and growing. He will primarily be in his Minish form (enlarged for the game), but his hat form will also come into play. He will be light and fast befitting his small size.
Likelihood rating: Piranha Plant clause.
