Today, let's cover basically our gimmick rep for Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Kersti! Kersti is a sticker-being who acted as the guardian for the legendary Sticker Star, joining forces with Mario when it was taken by Bowser. Although almost all of the moves here were used by Mario, largely with help from Kersti, I felt she was the best to represent the whole sticker gimmick as a whole.

So, first of all, we have the entire sticker gimmick as a whole. Some of the core mechanics there include the stickers themselves, littering the game's world and holding sections of it down. Then there's the ability to tear those stickers off. Then of course we have the paperize ability, which allows Mario and Kersti to turn the game into a 2D image and peel sections up or lay them down. We also have the slap game, which allows Mario to take real-world items, throw them at a wall, and turn them into stickers. We also have a number of real-world items we can factor in, given their effects on fights. Finally, the Sticker Star itself makes one invulnerable and unleashes a terrible sticker-filled whirlwind early in the game.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Sticker
This move will allow Kersti to slap a sticker across an opponent's face. As long as the sticker remains, it will continue to do damage. Kersti can press the command again to rip the sticker off of the opponent, adding another burst of damage.

Side B: Slap
Basically, Kersti will pull out an item and chuck it as hard as she can toward an opponent the way you do in the slap game to create new stickers. This will act as a projectile.

Up B: Whirlwind
Kersti will whip up a whirlwind just like the one at the beginning of the game that will launch her upward and leave a bunch of colorful stickers everywhere.

Down B: Real-World Items
This one is a bit of a random move, with you having the option to pull out one of five items that have different effects. The Scissors will cut across the stage quickly, doing damage. The Fan will whip up a heavy wind. The Cat-o-Luck will simply drop down and squash an opponent. The Vacuum Cleaner will do the opposite of the fan and suck opponents in. And the Roast Chicken will dance around nonsensically.

Final Smash: Paperize
The screen will turn into a 2D image and Kersti will be able to select a fighter and peel them up off of the stage, KOing them.

Entrance: Kersti will arrive with the Sticker Star.

Taunts: Kersti will flip through her sticker book. She might float around the Sticker Star and threaten anyone to come near it. So on.

Thanks for reading! Next up, we'll cover her spiritual successor for Color Splash, Huey!
