Today, we'll cover the seven Star Spirits. Eldstar, Mamar, Skolar, Muskular, Misstar, Klevar, and Kalmar are seven celestial beings who live on Star Hill and act as the first Paper Mario game's level McGuffins, held captive by the chapter bosses. Once you rescue them, they each return to Star Hill and grant you a new power to help you. They also guard the Star Rod, which gives Bowser heightened powers, so it can be a part of their moveset too. The seven spirits, plus Twink, will act as individual color swaps.

Eldstar gives you a simple ability to replenish your health. Mamar sings a lullaby to put enemies to sleep. Skolar calls down a meteor storm on opponents. Muskular chills out opponents and decreases their attack power. Misstar will kiss Mario to replenish his health. Klevar will immobilize an enemy for a short time. Kalmar will transform enemies into stars and they will drift away. At the end of the game, all seven plus Twink will come together to fire a Star Beam to negate the powers of the Star Rod. Definitely enough to work with.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Star Storm
This one will be a bit smaller than is normally portrayed in the game, fitting more of a standard attack. You will use Skolar's special move of calling down a hail of stars on your opponent, but it will originate directly from the player as a spray of projectiles.

Side B: Time Out
For this one, you will use Klevar's ability to temporarily stun an enemy. Use it on an opponent and they will be frozen in place for a few seconds.

Up B: Up & Away
This one is based on Kalmar's ability, except for this one, he will actually transform himself into a regular star and fly upward for a short time.

Down B: Replenish
This one will be primarily based on both Eldstar and Misstar's ability to restore your health. Perform this one to alleviate some of the damage you've racked up.

Final Smash: Star Beam
Of course, it had to be this one. All eight stars will come out and circle around each other above the stage before firing off a beam of light that does serious damage to those it touches.

Entrance: They'll circle down from the heavens, like they do.

Taunts: Circle around with some sparkles, blow a kiss to represent Misstar or sing a lullaby to represent Mamar, so on.

Thanks for reading! Next up, we begin our run of main villains with Smithy.
