Character Sheet: Wario (Wario Ware)

WARIO

Let's begin our character sheets for our Wario Ware characters. Although it felt a little touch and go there, with most gameplay not being tied to the characters themselves, each one did do enough across the nine games to warrant their inclusion, with the only one I really had to fudge a little being Mike. (At that point, with everyone else in, it just felt a little wrong to leave him out). Either way, here they are:

1. Wario
2. Biker Wario
3. Mona
4. Jimmy T.
5. Ashley & Red
6. 9-Volt
7. 18-Volt
8. 5-Volt
9. Kat and Ana
10. Young Cricket
10e. Master Mantis
11. Dribble & Spitz
12. Dr. Crygor
12e. Penny Crygor
13. Mike
14. Orbulon
15. Lulu

So, covering Wario is going to take a bit of explaining. In a way, there are two Warios. First there is the iconic Mario series Wario, best represented by him moves in the Wario Land games. The second is more the one we got in Smash, better represented by his appearance in Wario Ware. I was originally going to have Wario Man simply be the representative of the Wario Ware series, but I feel like Plumber Wario and Biker Wario have enough visual distinction as it is. Then there comes the problem of Wario Man and if he should be his own thing. In the end, I think I decided against that, and instead chose to make it kind of a Joker and Arsene kind of thing.

So, anyway, there won't be any changes to this one. I just wanted to include it in order to cover my bases. This is the Wario Land/Mario games version of Wario, wearing the yellow shirt and hat and purple overalls. If you have any issues with this decision, or if Biker Wario and Wario Man should be separate, please let me know below. Personally, I feel this is the best way to represent it all, but I'm open to other possibilities.

Here is his moveset:

Standard B: Dragon Helmet

Side B: Shoulder Rush

Up B: Jet Helmet

Down B: Enemy Effect

Final Smash: Wario's Plane

Entrance: crashing in his jetplane.

Taunts: I still like him throwing his shoe. Maybe the way he wiggles his butt in Shake It. His bashful expression with his index finger on his lower lip.

Thanks for reading! Next time, let's cover the Wario Ware version of the character!
