Raven Beak

RAVEN BEAK

Metroid Dread has a long and complex history across the Metroid series. It was planned for the Nintendo DS all the way back in the mid-2000s as a follow-up to Metroid Fusion, but was ultimately scrapped due to technical limitations of the time. So it came as a surprise to many when a full teaser was revealed in 2021 and the game was finally released for the Nintendo Switch. The story saw Samus traveling to the planet ZDR after a group of reconnaissance robots went missing, only to find herself attacked by a surviving Chozo.

This Chozo was Raven Beak, the leader of a rogue Chozo group called the Mawkin who survived the Space Pirate-led genocide of their people. Under Raven Beak’s leadership, an attempt was made to recreate the Metroids and the X-Parasites, only for the X-Parasites to break loose and wipe out most of the tribe. Raven Beak acts as the primary villain of Dread, attempting to excite the Metroid DNA within Samus and transform her into the first of the new breed.

As a fighter, Raven Beak will be agile and powerful, with striking hits meant to deal the maximum amount of damage. His moveset will pull from his final battle and all other encounters with him throughout the game.

Likelihood rating: Strong
