Metroid Prime 3 opens with Samus awakening on a Federation starship and being put through some training. As she does so, she sees other bounty hunters training in nearby rooms.

The first she sees is Ghor, a robot bounty hunter hired alongside Samus, Rundas, and Gandrayda to help the Federation in their fight against the Space Pirates on Norion. He pilots a larger robotic mech, and would end up corrupted by Dark Samus just like his compatriots.

As a fighter, Ghor would rely on his larger mech and weapons, being heavy but with powerful projectiles. His moveset would pull from his abilities shown fighting alongside Samus as well as his boss battle against her.
