LADY MAUD
Today, we begin a new round of character sheets, all primarily appearing in the 2D titles from Oracles to Tri Force Heroes. We have quite a few, though not as many as the 3D titles. Among them are:
1. Four Links
2. Ravio
3. Princess Hilda
4. Toon Zelda
5. Din
6. Nayru
7. Ezlo
8. Minish/Picori
9. Linebeck
10. Oshus & Ciela
11. Ralph
12. Alfonzo
13. Madame Couture
14. Subrosian
15. Onox
16. Veran
17. Vaati
18. Bellum
19. Chancellor Cole & Malladus
20. Yuga
21. Lady Maud
22. Byrne
Just like with the rest of the game she's from, Lady Maud doesn't seem to have that much to do with Zelda at all. She is a fashion witch and the sister of Madame Couture, and doesn't even seem that malicious. She just has a bad fashion sense and tried to forcibly share that bad fashion sense with the rest of the world, not realizing how bad it was. She did still trap a princess in a bodysuit, though, so . . .
As for her abilities, she always carries a parasol as her main weapon. She can teleport, trap people in bodysuits, attack with bubbles, circles of hearts, and colored energy balls, and takes on a Cake form in her final battle, complete with rising platforms around her. She also has a set of pets that she sends out to attack as bosses as well. I think that gives us enough.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Bodysuit
She will cast a spell forward. Anyone it hits will be trapped in a bodysuit like Princess Styla's, just shaped to their body. All of their stats will be exponentially decreased while they are wearing it.
Side B: Spinning Parasol
She will send out her parasol, spinning rapidly forward. It will do damage but it will also bounce opponents upward if landed on from the top.
Up B: Floating Platform
One of the floating platforms from her boss fight will rise under her feet and carry her upward. The platform will linger afterwards.
Down B: Bubble
She will cast a bubble attack that will catch and trap an opponent inside, carrying them upward for a bit before breaking.
Final Smash: Lady's Pets
Although the Cake Form is also a strong option, I really like the Lady's Pets boss battle, so I would rather have that, with her pets all coming out and causing chaos.
Entrance: Curtains will open as she poses dramatically.
Taunts: Up, she will spin her parasol and mug for the camera. Side, she will spin her parasol around her body and pose with it. Down, she will show off her new dress to boos and jeers from someone off screen.
Thanks for reading! Next up, our one and only henchman character, Byrne.
