Now, let's cover the books produced under the Mario, Donkey Kong, etc. banner. First up is Mario and the Incredible Rescue, a Scholastic book written by Tracey West in 2006, as part of a run of books produced by them starring various Nintendo heroes. The book is a pretty standard Mario adventure (you know, Bowser kidnaps Peach, Mario and Luigi rescue her), but does have an odd distinction of featuring a number of locations from Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars, including a chapter based around the character Toadofski. An interesting inclusion ten years after the fact. Tracey must have been a fan.
