Super Mario (Kodansha Manga)

SUPER MARIO (KODANSHA MANGA)

Today, let's go over the Super Manga written by Kazuki Motoyama and published by Kodansha that ran from 1988 to 1998 and produced 43 volumes. Once again, my ability to read through it all was spotty, but I did research it as much as I could. It mostly followed the plots of most of the games that came out during those years, starting with Super Mario Land and ending with Super Mario 64, with a lot of similar potty humor to Super Mario-Kun, such as a full-page full frontal of everyone's favorite plumber. That was lovely . . .

The most notable "character" I found through it all was a robot character called Mechakuribo, who acted as a sidekick to Mario throughout much of the Super Mario Land arc, who was secretly Princess Peach in disguise, following Mario out of jealousy that he was rescuing Daisy and not her. Her robot disguise was used to grab things with pincers, fire laser eyes, smack with a large fist, use x-ray vision, fly with propellers, throw its own head, and fire a gun. She and Mario also used a submarine during this adventure.

That's about it as far as I could find. Here's what we've got so far:
