Mario 4Koma Manga

MARIO 4KOMA MANGA

Today, we'll be covering three separate manga series that all fall under the same basic banner. These are 4Koma Manga Kingdom, which ran from 1991 to 2002 and was published by Futabasha; Super Mario 4Koma Manga Theatre, 1991 to 1997 under a company I was unable to find the name of; and 4-Koma Gag Battle, 1995 to 2004 under Kobunsha. All of these are a style of manga called yonkoma, which means a series of four-panel comics used to tell a single joke with little continuity between them. So . . . think newspaper comics. Basically these comics would take the characters and settings from various games released during this time period and told little jokes and sight gags with them. Not much to it really. And definitely not a whole lot of new characters to pull from. Moving on!
