TOAD
Today, let's let the floodgates burst forth. The RPGs, being RPGs, have proved a wellspring of brand-new characters and possible major revisions of pre-existing characters. Since there are so many, I will start by covering all of the revisions first. Here they are:
1. Mario
2. Luigi
3. Princess Peach
4. Toad
4e. Toadette
5. Bowser
6. Bowser Jr.
7. The Koopalings
8. Koopa Troopa
8e. Dry Bones
9. Goomba
10. Piranha Plant
11. Boo
12. Blooper
13. Lakitu and Spinies
14. Monty Mole
15. Hammer Bro
16. Wiggler
17. Chain Chomp
18. Birdo
19. Petey Piranha
20. Yoshi
21. Kamek
22. Shy Guy
23. Bandit
Today, let's cover Toad, and Toads, I guess, and all of their appearances across the Paper Mario games (and Super Mario RPG). Basically, they are the extras. Or one group of extras, unless we are talking about Color Splash, where apparently they rose up as the dominant species and eradicated every other group of extras who ever existed. Largely there's not much to talk about here, they just kind of take up the role of NPC and run shops and stuff around the towns you visit. Until you get to the paper gimmick games, that is. In Sticker Star, you can use them to stack up and form a bridge or a staircase and such, so that's kinda neat. In Color Splash, they can basically do everything and nothing all at the same time. A group of purple ones have keys growing out of their heads and loosely defined superpowers for some reason. Not a whole lot, but enough I suppose.
Here's his moveset:
Standard B: Flashlight
Sticking with this.
Sticking with this.
Side B: Pickaxe
Yeah, this too.
Yeah, this too.
Up B: Propeller Hat
Down B: Treasure Chest
Final Smash: Mega Mushroom
Not much change. I could see the purple guys forming something, but this works better.

Entrance: He arrives aboard the Toad Brigade's ship, with the whistle bit.
Taunts: "Thank you, Mario, but our Princess is in another castle." That whistle bit at the beginning of the Toad Brigade's leitmotif. "Alright."
Next up: Let's cover Toadette!
