CHAIN CHOMP
Today, let's let the floodgates burst forth. The RPGs, being RPGs, have proved a wellspring of brand-new characters and possible major revisions of pre-existing characters. Since there are so many, I will start by covering all of the revisions first. Here they are:
1. Mario
2. Luigi
3. Princess Peach
4. Toad
4e. Toadette
5. Bowser
6. Bowser Jr.
7. The Koopalings
8. Koopa Troopa
8e. Dry Bones
9. Goomba
10. Piranha Plant
11. Boo
12. Blooper
13. Lakitu and Spinies
14. Monty Mole
15. Hammer Bro
16. Wiggler
17. Chain Chomp
18. Birdo
19. Petey Piranha
20. Yoshi
21. Kamek
22. Shy Guy
23. Bandit
Today let's talk about Chain Chomps. They appear frequently throughout the series, mostly acting much as they normally do. This round of games heavily leaned into the whole "Chomps are dogs" thing, with most portrayals of them being the pet or guard dog of various characters, including Tutankoopa, the Toad professor from Color Splash, and even having a Cerberus-style version guarding the gates of the Underwhere in Super Paper Mario.
Let's see what we can do:
Standard B: Lunge
Side B: Chomp Rock
Up B: Incoming Chomp
Down B: Earthquake
Final Smash: Chomp Shark
Entrance: It appears stuck to a peg in the ground. The peg will disappear into the ground three segments at a time, at which point the Chomp will break free.
Taunts: Bouncing around and biting the way he does. The famous barking sound.
Thanks for reading! Next up let's cover the series' most random character, Birdo!
