Character Sheet: Princess Peach (Paper Mario+)

PRINCESS PEACH

Today, let's let the floodgates burst forth. The RPGs, being RPGs, have proved a wellspring of brand-new characters and possible major revisions of pre-existing characters. Since there are so many, I will start by covering all of the revisions first. Here they are:

1. Mario
2. Luigi
3. Princess Peach
4. Toad
4e. Toadette
5. Bowser
6. Bowser Jr.
7. The Koopalings
8. Koopa Troopa
8e. Dry Bones
9. Goomba
10. Piranha Plant
11. Boo
12. Blooper
13. Lakitu and Spinies
14. Monty Mole
15. Hammer Bro
16. Wiggler
17. Chain Chomp
18. Birdo
19. Petey Piranha
20. Yoshi
21. Kamek
22. Shy Guy
23. Bandit

Today, let's go over Princess Peach. She's kind of in the same boat as Luigi, where she didn't have quite enough to warrant a Paper Peach character, but still some to talk about. She is a main playable character in both Super Mario RPG and Super Paper Mario, and has very small limited playable roles in Paper Mario 64 and the Thousand Year Door. In Sticker Star and Color Splash, she has very minimal roles as simply the damsel-in-distress yet again. Not much to say on those latter four, but we should talk about both. In Super Mario RPG, peach acts mainly as the group healer, using moves like therapy and group hug to heal herself or her companions, while also putting enemies to sleep, cancelling their attacks, and attacking them psychically (0_0). In Super Paper Mario, she could float and shield herself with her parasol. The most important addition in the first two Paper games would probably be her Sneaky Parasol that let her turn into various minions of Bowser.

Here is her moveset:

Standard B: Group Hug
Princess Peach will cast a healing spell that will heal both herself and anyone on stage who is part of her team. This does of course leave her vulnerable.

Side B: Sleepy Time
This one has to do with both her Sleepy Time move in Super Mario RPG, but also with her music box, and her Peach Blossom final smash. (She puts a lot of people to sleep apparently). However, it will be significantly toned down to be more like Jigglypuff's move.

Up B: Parasol
This stays the same

Down B: Parasol Shield
Peach will crouch down and cover herself with her umbrella, protecting herself from any attack.

Final Smash: Psych Bomb
How is that not her moveset already. I mean, just look at that name!

Entrance: She floats down from the sky on her parasol.

Taunts: Her kiss of Mario at the end of many games could be one, a lot of her small movements throughout her cutscenes perhaps, some of her victory screens from Super Mario 3D World maybe.

Next up: It's time for our boy, Toad!
