Wario: Master of Disguise

WARIO: MASTER OF DISGUISE

Wario: Master of Disguise is a game released for the Nintendo DS that tried to make good use of the touch screen mechanic. It also tells the tragic tale of a man who trained his whole life to carry on his family legacy only for some a**hole from another dimension to create a device to travel to his and take everything away from him, simply because said a**hole couldn't stand the idea that a fictional character (from his perspective) might have more treasure than he did. What I'm trying to say here is that Wario is a dick.

In this game, you play as Wario who uses the magic wand Goodstyle (stolen from said poor, unfortunate soul) to transform himself into various forms to get through the various levels. These include: Thief Wario, more or less the basic form with a tackle attack; Cosmic Wario, an astronaut who can shoot lasers; Arty Wario, who can create blocks and doors; Genius Wario, who can reveal hidden items and uses a punching glove on a spring; Sparky Wario, who shoots off electricity; Captain Wario, who can use boats or submarines to cross watery areas and can fire torpedoes; Dragon Wario, who can breathe fire and swim through lava; and Wicked Wario, who can fly.

We also have three supporting characters. The first is Count Cannoli, a phantom thief whose entire life is flipped upside down because Wario is petty about a fictional character. Outside of being the original owner of Goodstyle and thus being able to do everything Wario could do (thus making him the perfect candidate for the role of gimmick rep), he also flies in on a balloon in every appearance and can pilot flying machines that drop bombs, use drills, and punch with maces. After him we have Carpaccio, another phantom thief of sorts who relies more on technology and traps against Wario, but can also transform into a giant bubble that sucks you in and shoots icicles at you. Finally, we have Terrormisu, an all-powerful demon who presents herself to Wario at first as a young girl pleading for his help. She can float around, call down lightning, throw a giant laser ball, flood a room with her tears, throw crescent shapes at you, drop meteors on you, and send up fiery lava waves.

As for our enemies, we have a few, including cheese-eating mice called Munchelangelo, Davincheese, and Ratfael; Galley Cats and Pushy Cats are servers who throw trays of food and push carts at you; Nigel B. Whistlebottom and Officer Kicksworth are police officers that patrol areas. Sir Lance-a-lot, Sir Steal-a-lot, Sir Hop-a-lot, Sir Worth-a-lot, and Sir Flap-a-lot are all robotic knights implied to work for Carpaccio that stab at you with lances, hop on pogo sticks, and fly in their various forms. Buffy the Dolphin and Puffy the Dolphin are both dolphins, one who flexes and shoots balls of light at you, and the other who shoots puffs of his afro; Squabbles are basic birds; Battle Salmon, Snackerels, and Cyborcas are all robotic fish that inhabit the waters; Mr. Cheekies are big monkeys that fart and run away; Snow Globes are mini-versions of Carpaccio's boss fight that shoot snowflakes at you; Slithervines are creeping vines that bite you; Bombats are basically bats; Scare-Oh!s and Sarcopha Guys are Egyptian mummy-type enemies; Thorn Weeds and Seed Weeds are plant enemies that crawl around and shoot spikes and seeds at you; Gooeys are ghost enemies; and Mellow Kitties are cat balls that try to swallow you.

Other bosses that aren't Cannoli, Carpaccio, and Terrormisu include the Pharaoh betrayed by Terrormisu, who floats around and drops balls and spikes from his nose; Kabloom!, a giant flower that shoots thorns and orb things at you; the Barfatronic Lavachomper, a giant mechanical head that spews lava, shoots eye lasers, and drops bombs on you; and Stuffy the 64th, a dolphin that swims around and jumps from the water.

The game's levels are divided up into ten main story episodes and then five special episodes afterward. The first two take place on the S.S. Caviar, a cruise ship that Cannoli had been casing; after that we have the Smithsnorian Museum; Sneezemore Cave, an ice level; Poobah the Pharaoh's Pyramid; Ancient Waterworks, a jungle ruins level; Sweatmore Peak, a volcano; Blowhole Castle, a water-filled castle level; Carpaccio's Lab; and Allergia Gardens, a divine garden-type level.

As for items, its mostly a lot of treasure you can steal and such. And Goodstyle the wand of course.
