Character Sheet: Carpaccio (Wario Miscellaneous)

CARPACCIO

It's time to cover the Wario characters. We will be making a new roster for Wario, although it will not be populated by the most iconic of Wario characters quite yet. We may also get some new additions to the Mario rosters. Here's who were working with this time around:

1. Mario (Revision)
2. Luigi (Revision)
3. Princess Peach (Revision)
4. Toad (Revision)
5. Wario (Revision)
6. Captain Syrup (Revision)
7. Birdo (Revision)
8. Yoshi (Revision)
9. Wanda
10. Count Cannoli
11. Carpaccio
12. Terrormisu
13. The Shake King

Today, let's cover Carpaccio, a supporting character from Wario: Master of Disguise. Carpaccio is a . . . um, I'm not sure he's a phantom thief per se. He's involved with all that in some way, but he's more concerned with setting traps and using technology than stealing stuff. Either way, his family is one of the two working to keep Terrormisu trapped within her prison, and he acts as a second rival to Wario alongside Count Cannoli.

At a first glance, Carpaccio doesn't seem to do much. He's more flashy than physical, with one battle against him involving him turning into a giant ice bubble, which lends itself more to a Final Smash or Boss Battle than a solo character, while his second major battle features an obstacle course, where he basically just walks along a straight track while Wario has to go through all kinds of trouble. However, you do have to factor in all those traps of his, as well as the robotic knights who work for him, and bring it all together into one.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Snow Globe
This move is based upon his main boss battle and is one of the few he does himself personally. He will not take the Snow Globe form, but will simply extend his hand and shoot out a freezing cloud of ice to freeze his enemies.

Side B: Sir Lance-a-Lot
This one is based on the main enemies that serve Carpaccio. One of the Sir Lance-a-Lots will appear before Carpaccio and will charge forward with its lance out, somewhat similar to Zelda's suit of armor move.

Up B: Sir Hop-a-Lot
This one is based on the version of Sir Lance-a-Lot that hops around on pogo sticks, except that this time, no knight will appear and Carpaccio will simply whip out the pogo stick and bounce on it himself, getting moderate air.

Down B: Force Field
This move is based on the traps frequently used throughout his levels, specifically the electric force fields that keep Wario from progressing. Basically it will act as a basic shield move, projecting the force field in front of him, but with an electrocution effect for anyone that touches it.

Final Smash: Head Honcho Carpaccio
This move is based on his boss battle in the game, where he turns into a giant Snow Globe, at which point he will first freeze the entire level and then suck everything in like a vacuum.

Entrance: He jumps on screen and poses.

Taunt: I feel like he should be like Snake and have the same taunt for every direction: he does his signature pose with his shades gleaming.

Thanks for reading! Next up, we'll cover his and Cannoli's ancient nemesis, Terrormisu!
