Yarn Yoshi is Yoshi's incarnation in the game Yoshi's Woolly World. In the game, the developers got creative and, rather than simply making him more or less Yoshi just made out of other stuff like in Yoshi's Crafted World, they gave him his own entire moveset and abilities linked to everything being made out of yarn.

For instance, instead of eating enemies, Yoshi will unravel them and then pop them out as balls of yarn, rather than eggs. When he throws the balls of yarn, they will frequently tie up the enemy they are shot at instead of insta-killing them. He can also unravel sections of the stage, or throw balls of yarn at an empty frame to create a new platform. He could also spin around a spool in order to launch himself to a new area, and he could unravel to go down pipes. Transformations he could perform in this mode included an umbrella, a bicycle, a mole, an airplane, and a mermaid. For some Crafted Yoshi representation, the giant mechanical Yoshi you can drive there can work as a potential final smash.

Let's see what we can do:

Standard B: Unravel
Yoshi will eat an opponent, unraveling them into strings before popping them out as balls of yarn. They will knit back into their regular forms after a second or two.

Side B: Tie Up
Yoshi will throw a ball of yarn at an opponent, which will then unravel and bind itself around the enemy, trapping them for a brief time.

Up B: Spool
Yoshi will unravel and zip around a spool that will appear in the air. You can charge the move, during which Yoshi will spin around and around the spool, picking up speed, which will then determine the distance you will fly when you let go.

Down B: Mole
Yoshi will knit himself into a mole-tank shape which will then burrow underground and can come up a short distance away under another opponent.

Final Smash: Yoshi Tank
Yoshi will hop into the giant Yoshi tank from Yoshi's Crafted World, which will then roll around the stage, knocking into everything and anything.

Entrance: Yoshi will knit together from five bundles matching his color palette.

Taunts: Possibly changing color to reflect an opponent (sort of like that Mario-color Yarn Yoshi. You know the one). Beyond that, just general Yoshi cuteness works.

Thanks for reading! Tomorrow we'll cover Baby Mario (or more specifically, all the babies but Bowser).
