Would you believe this guy almost didn't make it in? I mean, he has a moveset, but it's all very generic stuff in a way. But at the end of the day, he still had enough, and Wizpig as a character is generally remembered fondly, in some ways simply for being part of such a beloved game, and leaving him out for a reason like that just didn't seem right.
Wizpig is an evil space pig wizard who tries to conquer Timber's Island. Throughout the game, we see him fly, run fast enough to keep pace with the racers, fly on a missile, ride in a spaceship, teleport into it, call down lightning, and use turrets on his station to fire lasers. It's enough, for sure.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Laser Turret
A laser turret will pop up, firing off a laser beam at opponents. This will do moderate damage.
Side B: Missile
Wizpig will produce a giant missile, that he can hop on top of to ride across the stage, or to simply let fly into the first opponent it meets. Basically, it will function like Villager's side B.
Up B: Flying Saucer
Wizpig will warp into his flying saucer which will then dart around in a generally upward direction. The move can be controlled.
Down B: Lightning
Wizpig will charge up a spell with his wand that will call down a blast of lightning on the opponent he is pointing at.
Final Smash: Conquest
Wizpig will rise into the air, waving around his magic wand. The stage will shift as a giant pig head will rise from it, based on how he altered Timber's Island itself in the main plot of the game. This move will be similar in a way to the Ice Climbers' final smash, in that a large obstruction will take up much of the stage, and the players can be harmed by the dark magic surrounding it.
Entrance: He descends from his flying saucer.
Taunts: Some of his taunts as he is racing you in Diddy Kong Racing.
Thanks for reading! Next up, we'll cover the Evil Kings of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat.
