Krazoa Palace

Star Fox Adventures is strangely the easiest game for stage picks, being very much a different game from the rest of the series considering it originated as its own series. Naturally, the best route is to pick a stage that best reflects the grand ancient civilization vibe of the game.

Naturally, the most iconic location to go with is Krazoa Palace, a giant air temple flying high in the sky where Krystal was originally captured, and where Fox regularly returned after each major segment of the game. The stage will be large, with much of the iconic scenery of the place in the background, and even with Scales’ airship and a few CloudRunners flying around in the background.

Prince Tricky

After Krystal is captured, a distress call is put out across the galaxy: a distress call the Star Fox team picks up. When they arrive, Fox heads down to the surface, and meets the queen of the EarthWalkers (Triceratops), who pleads with him to rescue her captured son.

This son is Prince Tricky, a spunky young EarthWalker partially based on the boss from Diddy Kong Racing. He becomes Fox’s constant companion throughout the game, helping him accomplish certain tasks through the use of his sidekick skills.

As a fighter, Tricky will be small, speedy, and tough, his moveset pulling from his various sidekick skills.

Likelihood rating: Piranha Plant clause.

General Scales

The leader of the SharpClaw tribe is a tall member of their race armed with twin hooks fixed to his wrist.

This is General Scales, the main villain of Star Fox Adventures for most of the game. Sadly, he never ends up fighting you in a boss battle, as in both versions of the game, he is overshadowed by the true villain, Drakor or Andross.

As a fighter, General Scales will instead pull from the abilities of his tribe, as well as his own actions in important cutscenes, with a lot of strength and power behind him.

Likelihood rating: Could happen

SharpClaw

The main adversaries Krystal faces in her opening chapter are a race of tyrannosaurids attempting to conquer the whole of the planet Sauria.

These are the SharpClaw tribe, who are not T-Rexes specifically, as that is the Red Eye tribe, but predatory dinosaurs similar to T-Rexes. Perhaps Allosaurs or Carnotaurs. They function as the core enemy types throughout the game, attacking and subjugating various tribes until Fox can free them.

As fighters, they will be quick with good defenses and fierce attacks. Their moveset will pull from all their various subtypes.

Likelihood rating: Probably not.

Krystal

When the Game Cube era began, Rareware began work on a new IP they called Dinosaur Planet, which starred two catlike creatures going on an adventure on a planet entirely inhabited by dinosaurs, helping fight back against an invasion by a race of T-Rex-type dinosaurs. At some point in development, it was pointed out that the protagonists look a bit like Fox McCloud, and so the game was pivoted to be a Star Fox game, except really not a Star Fox game except for a few short levels crammed in. The story of this new game starts with a young fox breaking into an ancient palace in order to stop an invasion only for her to be captured and trapped in a jewel.

This young fox is named Krystal, and she was one of the two original protagonists of the game. After Team Star Fox arrives, answering a distress call, Fox takes up her staff and uses it as his main weapon throughout the course of the game, rescuing her in the end. After that, she joins Team Star Fox and becomes a love interest for Fox.

As a fighter, Krystal will be quick and agile, using her spear for most of her attacks. Her moveset will pull from Fox’s moveset in the game, a moveset that is hers in the opening chapter and would have been hers in the original game.

Likelihood rating: Strong.

Character Sheet: SharpClaw

SHARPCLAW

As stated before, I'm going back to the old Character Sheet format for the main series runs instead of the basic roster from before. The biggest reason for this is purely so I can give myself time to actually work through any given series' content. While that's not so much a concern with this series, I will need it come Pokemon time, so, yeah. Here's everyone who made it for Star Fox:

1. Fox McCloud

1e. James McCloud

2. Falco Lombardi

3. Krystal

4. Slippy Toad

5. Peppy Hare

6. Arwing

6e. Wolfen

7. Landmaster

8. ROB 64

9. Prince Tricky

10. Andross

10e. Andrew Oikonny

11. Wolf O'Donnell

12. Leon Powalski

13. Panther Caroso

14. Pigma Dengar

15. General Scales

16. Aparoid Queen

17. Anglar Emperor

18. SharpClaw

19. Aparoid

20. Monarch Dodora

Next up, we have the SharpClaws, the main goons of Star Fox Adventures, working under General Scales. Their abilities are a bit of a combination of general predatory dinosaur abilities, like smacking with the tail and biting forward, with older prehistoric weapons like clubs and axes, and advanced machines like flying sentry robots, repulsor sleds, artillery cannons, deflector shields, missiles, and spaceships.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Bite

I think the mace will be more of the standard melee weapons, so here they'll lunge forward with their mouths open to bite.

Side B: Repulsor Sled

They will launch forward on it, ramming into opponents.

Up B: Sentry Drone

Pretty much just like General Scales.

Down B: Reflector Shield

They will project it and be safe from harm in that direction.

Final Smash: Artillery Cannon

They will jump to the forefront of the stage and start firing at it from offscreen.

Entrance: They will be patrolling the area.

Taunts: Up, raising their maces and making noise. Side, marching back and forth. Down, going to sleep for a second.

Kirby Hat: Their helmets.

Kart: A repulsor sled.

Special Move: Another SharpClaw in an artillery cannon will appear near the stage where you activated it and start bombarding the track.

Spirit Battle: A horde battle on Krazoa Palace.

Victory Screen: An army of them will shout as other tribes are led away hostage.

Losing Screen: Their death animations.

Color Swaps: Yellow, Green, Blue, Black, BribeClaw, ShadowHunter, EggSnatcher, RedEye.

Thanks for reading! Next up, the Aparoids invade.

General Scales

GENERAL SCALES

As stated before, I'm going back to the old Character Sheet format for the main series runs instead of the basic roster from before. The biggest reason for this is purely so I can give myself time to actually work through any given series' content. While that's not so much a concern with this series, I will need it come Pokemon time, so, yeah. Here's everyone who made it for Star Fox:

1. Fox McCloud

1e. James McCloud

2. Falco Lombardi

3. Krystal

4. Slippy Toad

5. Peppy Hare

6. Arwing

6e. Wolfen

7. Landmaster

8. ROB 64

9. Prince Tricky

10. Andross

10e. Andrew Oikonny

11. Wolf O'Donnell

12. Leon Powalski

13. Panther Caroso

14. Pigma Dengar

15. General Scales

16. Aparoid Queen

17. Anglar Emperor

18. SharpClaw

19. Aparoid

20. Monarch Dodora

General Scales is the main villain of most of Star Fox Adventures, who infamously gets robbed of a boss battle of any kind, only having a brief one where he stands ready to attack, but the battle ends the moment you make your first attack. That said, being the leader of the SharpClaws and having a few moves of his own demonstrated in random cutscenes allows me to pull it off.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Sharp Claws

Obviously his iconic golden claw weapons have to be used here somehow. Pretty basic. He'll slash forward with them.

Side B: Missile

He will pull out a missile launcher used by his people. I think it's reasonable he might have used one in a real battle. (More, I didn't want to just give him the basic mace).

Up B: Sentry Robot

He will use a sentry robot to fly higher.

Down B: Camouflage

He will turn invisible for a moment.

Final Smash: Drakor

In a nod to Dinosaur Planet, the original "true villain" that got ousted to a boss role by Andross will fly in and start attacking.

Entrance: Appearing from invisibility.

Taunts: Up, grasping one of the stones and raising it into the air. Side, he will stand at the ready like he does in his one battle. Down, he will crouch and roar.

Kirby Hat: His helmet.

Kart: A repulsor sled.

Special Move: He will slash with his claws.

Spirit Battle: (Feels a bit lame to have just him on Krazoa Palace, only for him to switch out with Andross the moment he takes any damage) Let's go with, just him on Krazoa Palace. Give him the battle he never got.

Victory Screen: He will raise a stone into the sky and let out a victorious roar.

Losing Screen: His death animation.

Color Swaps: His normal colors, SharpClaw orange, BribeClaw blue, Shadowhunter black, RedEye colors, Kalda Chom colors, Drakor colors, Galdon colors.

Thanks for reading! Next up, the Aparoid Queen invades the galaxy.

Character Sheet: Andross

ANDROSS

As stated before, I'm going back to the old Character Sheet format for the main series runs instead of the basic roster from before. The biggest reason for this is purely so I can give myself time to actually work through any given series' content. While that's not so much a concern with this series, I will need it come Pokemon time, so, yeah. Here's everyone who made it for Star Fox:

1. Fox McCloud

1e. James McCloud

2. Falco Lombardi

3. Krystal

4. Slippy Toad

5. Peppy Hare

6. Arwing

6e. Wolfen

7. Landmaster

8. ROB 64

9. Prince Tricky

10. Andross

10e. Andrew Oikonny

11. Wolf O'Donnell

12. Leon Powalski

13. Panther Caroso

14. Pigma Dengar

15. General Scales

16. Aparoid Queen

17. Anglar Emperor

18. SharpClaw

19. Aparoid

20. Monarch Dodora

Next up, we have the main villain of the series, Andross. Andross is a scientist who was working on making the planet Venom habitable, before becoming power hungry and amassing an army to take control of the Lylat system from Corneria. He's kinda dead after the first game (repeating through 64 and Zero) but is resurrected in Adventures and is heavily relevant to the plot of Assault and Command, with Command's plot coming directly from the fallout of his death.

Though seeming to be a normal sized monkey, you normally face him through some form of giant version of his face. Though I took that previously to just be a ship that looks like him, apparently he mutated himself to look like that. I think? Either way, he has lots of attacks like eye beams, suction, shielding, large panels that he spits from his mouth, and giant hands that he smacks opponents around with.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Panel Storm

He will spit a stream of panels from his mouth that will fly toward opponents as projectiles.

Side B: Eye Beam

He will fire eye beams from his eyes, inflicting burn damage.

Up B: Shield Panels

A cylinder of shields will form around him, allowing him to spin upwards while being protected from harm.

Down B: Suction

He will inhale, drawing in nearby objects and fighters.

Final Smash: Out of This Dimension

He will grab an opponent and take them into another dimension, bombarding them with attacks before just leaving them there and out of the game.

Entrance: A bunch of panels will come together to form him.

Taunts: Up, he will too the "evil face loom" from the opening of 64. Side, he will use his giant finger to pick his ear for a second. Down, he will flash and show his brain for a second.

Kirby Hat: His hair and beard.

Kart: Based on the SNES version of him.

Special Move: He will fire panels that will linger as walls on the stage.

Spirit Battle: giant battle on Venom.

Victory Screen: He will loom large over the Lylat System like in the opening.

Losing Screen: His death animation from Star Fox 64.

Color Swaps: SNES version, 64 version, Adventures version, Zero version, and off color variants of all four.

Thanks for reading! Next up, Andrew Oikonny follows in Andross's footsteps.

Character Sheet: Prince Tricky

PRINCE TRICKY

As stated before, I'm going back to the old Character Sheet format for the main series runs instead of the basic roster from before. The biggest reason for this is purely so I can give myself time to actually work through any given series' content. While that's not so much a concern with this series, I will need it come Pokemon time, so, yeah. Here's everyone who made it for Star Fox:

1. Fox McCloud

1e. James McCloud

2. Falco Lombardi

3. Krystal

4. Slippy Toad

5. Peppy Hare

6. Arwing

6e. Wolfen

7. Landmaster

8. ROB 64

9. Prince Tricky

10. Andross

10e. Andrew Oikonny

11. Wolf O'Donnell

12. Leon Powalski

13. Panther Caroso

14. Pigma Dengar

15. General Scales

16. Aparoid Queen

17. Anglar Emperor

18. SharpClaw

19. Aparoid

20. Monarch Dodora

Next up, we have Prince Tricky, prince of the EarthWalker tribe (Triceratops) on the Planet Sauria, and Fox's faithful companion throughout most of the game. He likely would have also been Krystal and Sabre's companion in the original game. The biggest pool for me to pull from in this game is his Sidekick Commands, various things Fox can order him to do in order to progress in the game. While Stay and Heel are relatively useless to me, Find, Flame, and Play are not. Supplementing that with various aspects of Sauria, and I think we have a moveset.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Flame

Tricky will breathe a stream of fire from his mouth.

Side B: Play

He will bash around a small rubber ball and use it as a projectile.

Up B: CloudRunner

A CloudRunner will pick him up and carry him high. He will look a little panicked while this is happening, referencing his aversion to the species.

Down B: Find

He will dig into the ground, occasionally finding items but also leaving behind a pit for players to fall in.

Final Smash: Saurian Rampage

A horde of dinosaurs and other species from all across the Planet Sauria will charge across the stage, Tricky and his parents in the lead.

Entrance: He will step off of an Arwing's loading ramp.

Taunts: Up, he will thrust upwards with his horns to act tough. Side, he will paw the ground and get ready to charge. Down, he will turn around three times and lay down.

Kirby Hat: His frill and horns, possibly as just a cap.

Kart: Based on the snow speeder from the one scene in the snowy village.

Special Move: He can breathe fire ahead of himself.

Spirit Battle: On Sauria, with Fox.

Victory Screen: Tricky sitting on top of a temple and looking pleased with himself.

Losing Screen: Looking around nervously as the planet starts to fully break apart.

Color Swaps: His normal coloring, his normal coloring with armor, ThornTail colors, CloudRunner colors, SnowHorn colors, HighTop colors, Lightfoot colors, and SharpClaw colors.

Thanks for reading! Next up, Andross wages war on the galaxy.

Character Sheet: Krystal

KRYSTAL

As stated before, I'm going back to the old Character Sheet format for the main series runs instead of the basic roster from before. The biggest reason for this is purely so I can give myself time to actually work through any given series' content. While that's not so much a concern with this series, I will need it come Pokemon time, so, yeah. Here's everyone who made it for Star Fox:

1. Fox McCloud

1e. James McCloud

2. Falco Lombardi

3. Krystal

4. Slippy Toad

5. Peppy Hare

6. Arwing

6e. Wolfen

7. Landmaster

8. ROB 64

9. Prince Tricky

10. Andross

10e. Andrew Oikonny

11. Wolf O'Donnell

12. Leon Powalski

13. Panther Caroso

14. Pigma Dengar

15. General Scales

16. Aparoid Queen

17. Anglar Emperor

18. SharpClaw

19. Aparoid

20. Monarch Dodora

Next, we have Krystal, a new character introduced in Star Fox Adventures, who then became part of the core Star Fox team in Assault and Command, and acted as the love interest of Fox McCloud. She started out as an adventurer who answered Sauria's call for help first and managed to fight off a horde of them before ultimately being captured and sealed in a crystal until the Star Fox team arrived.

As Fox uses her staff and all of its abilities in Adventures, and would have been one of the two main protagonists of the original game Dinosaur Planet, naturally all of that moveset belongs to her. She could incorporate moves from the standard Star Fox team stuff too, but I'll save that for an "only when necessary" button.

Here is her moveset:

Standard B: Energy Blast

This will be a projectile attack, with Krystal throwing energy from the end of her spear.

Side B: Spear Strike

She will flip her spear around and strike forward with it, based on the melee moves Fox can use.

Up B: Spear Launch

She will lock her spear into place before launching upward with it, just like Fox can in the game.

Down B: Bomb Spore Plant

Krystal will plant a Bomb Spore on the stage and then will be able to set it off from a distance, or it will simply go off at a set time.

Final Smash: Spirit Crystal

She will trap an opponent inside of a giant crystal as spirits swirl around it and drain the opponent's life force.

Entrance: Dropping from a CloudRunner.

Taunts: Up, she will spin her spear and turn away. Side, she will study a Star Fox blaster and pose with it. Down, she will flick her hair back and look shy.

Kirby Hat: Her hair and crown.

Kart: An Arwing.

Special Move: She will be able to strike to the side with her spear.

Spirit Battle: On Krazoa Palace.

Victory Screen: She will spin her spear around and stand victorious.

Losing Screen: She will be surrounded by spirits and locked in a crystal.

Color Swaps: Her Adventures look, her Assault look, her main Command look, her Command look with the helmet, her original Dinosaur Planet design, one based on Sabre, one based on Fox, and one based on Marcus.

Thanks for reading! Next up, Slippy Toad needs a little help!

Star Fox Adventures

STAR FOX ADVENTURES

Star Fox Adventures is not a Star Fox game. It originated as Dinosaur Planet, a new game by Rare, bringing with it all the 3D platforming highlights you'd expect from a Rare game, like Banjo-Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and Jet Force Gemini. Somewhere in the middle of development, someone said "Hey, that protagonist looks a little like Fox McCloud," so they decided to attach it to the Star Fox series for name recognition purposes. As a result, a new IP that may well have been as beloved as, at least, Jet Force Gemini, has instead gone down in history being hated by those fans that came wanting a Star Fox experience.

The story centers around Fox and his team getting a distress call from the planet Sauria, where the SharpClaw tribe is attempting to conquer the planet and enforce their rule over all the other tribes on the planet. You spend most of your time playing as Fox on the ground, using the staff dropped by Krystal, a young fox warrior who'd shown up earlier to try and help, only to end up captured. With her staff, he can attack using the bladed tips or throw magic with it, use it as a shield, and use it to launch high into the sky from certain stations. He could also plant bomb plants and detonate them. All of this can very much be attributed to Krystal, so it will be.

Fox is accompanied in his adventures by Tricky, the young prince of the EarthWalker tribe, who helps him with various sidekick commands, those being Stay (he stays put in one spot), Flame (he breathes fire), Find (he will find hidden objects and dig), Heel (he will come to your side), and Play Ball (he'll play fetch with you). I might be able to do something there.

Other characters include Peppy, Slippy, ROB, General Pepper, and Falco, who generally just chime in with their advice over the radio, because they have to pretend it's a Star Fox game somehow. They do help out a bit in the small flying missions that happen on occasion. The dinosaur tribes include ThornTails (Ankylosaur types), EarthWalkers (Triceratops types), CloudRunners (Pterosaurs), SnowHorns (Mammoths), HighTops (Apatosaur types), LightFoots (Gallimimus types), RedEyes (T-Rex), and SharpClaws (smaller predatory types). Each have their own members, generally a king or queen and a gatekeeper. There is also a giant stone statue called the WarpStone, and a shopkeeper you can buy from.

General Scales is the leader of the SharpClaws and generally the main villain of the game. He sadly does not get a boss fight ever in the game, as they were cut out when it became a Star Fox game (Really awkwardly too, it's perfectly obvious where they were supposed to take place). He can turn invisible and uses two hooked claws attached to his wrist to attack. Andross turns out to be the real villain of the game, appearing as a spirit and supposedly guiding Fox throughout the game, only for him to betray them both and used the spirits collected by Fox to gain a new body. During his battle, he fires rings from his mouth, swats with his hands, inhales, and exhales meteorites.

Other bosses include Galdon, a giant insectoid creature that will spit green fireballs, attack with its claws, and eat Fox; King RedEye, a giant T-Rex that likes to charge and bite; and Drakor, a dragon who flies, shoots blue lasers, and leaves electrical traps behind him. Fun fact: Drakor was the original true villain behind Scales in Dinosaur Planet.

Our enemies include the SharpClaws, the standard grunts of the game who use a variety of different weapons to attack; the BribeClaw, a SharpClaw guard that will let you pass for money; ShadowHunters, fast runner types; RedEyes, large T-Rexes; EggSnatchers, who steal eggs; Snipluks, Snaplaks, and Kooshies who burrow; Kalda Chom, a frog thing that lives in a pond; Brain Squids; PopTops, who are sorta turtles; MushGus, a mushroom; cliff-dwelling Peepers; flying Bloops and FireBats; FireCrawlers, who live in volcanic areas; and plants called Venus Foxtraps.

Major areas around Sauria include: Krazoa Palace, the center of most of the plot; ThornTail Hollow, sorta the hub area of the game; SnowHorn Wastes, an icy mountain; Moon Mountain Pass, where Fox encounters Andross's spirit; Cape Claw, a beach; CloudRunner Fortress, high in the sky; LightFoot Village, a marshy area; the Walled City, where the EarthWalker King rules; Dragon Rock, where you face Drakor; and then the Volcano and Ocean Force Point Temples.

I think that's about it! Here's what we've got so far:
