Character Sheet: The Future Paradoxes

IRON TREADS/IRON BUNDLE/IRON HANDS/IRON JUGULIS/IRON MOTH/IRON THORNS/IRON VALIANT/IRON LEAVES/IRON BOULDER/IRON CROWN

While the Past Paradoxes all pull heavily from various dinosaurs, cavemen, and other prehistoric concepts, apparently the only future concept Game Freak felt worth exploring was robots, robots, and more robots. Also, Iron was the only naming scheme they needed, even though Neo and Cyber, at least, were both right there. Anyway, Iron Treads is a robot based on Donphan, with a tank tread replacing the tire track Donphan normally has.

Standard B: Iron Head

Side B: Rollout

Up B: Giga Impact

Final Smash: Steel Tera-Type Steel Roller

Iron Bundle is a little robot based on Delibird, carrying around a little water pack that it uses to hydrate plants and objects around it.

Standard B: Ice Beam

Side B: Hydro Pump

Up B: Blizzard

Down B: Whirlpool

Final Smash: Ice Tera-Type Blizzard

Iron Hands is a robot patterned after Hariyama, with large floating Rayman-type hands that act as defibrillators.

Side B: Arm Thrust

Up B: Seismic Toss

Final Smash: Electric Tera-Type Thunder Punch

Iron Jugulis is a robot based on, or . . . apparently descended from, Hydreigon that bred with a robot somehow? Anyway, it’s just a big robot Hydreigon.

Standard B: Hyper Beam

Side B: Dark Pulse

Up B: Air Cutter

Down B: Outrage

Final Smash: Dragon Tera-Type Outrage

Iron Moth is a robot version of Volcarona, with large wings made up of solar panels. It’s also Poison type for . . . some reason.

Standard B: Acid Spray

Side B: Fire Spin

Up B: Fiery Dance

Down B: Sludge Wave

Final Smash: Fire Tera-Type Overheat

Iron Thorns is a robotic version of Tyranitar, with laser spikes sticking out of its body, and pulling more from Mechagodzilla instead of regular Godzilla.

Standard B: Thunder Fang

Side B: Wild Charge

Up B: Giga Impact

Down B: Pin Missile

Final Smash: Normal Tera-Type Giga Impact

Iron Valiant is a future robot version of both Gardevoir and Gallade, becoming the ultimate non-binary icon of the Pokemon series, complete with double-ended lightsaber.

Standard B: Moonblast

Side B: Psycho Cut

Up B: Night Slash

Down B: Double Team

Final Smash: Fairy Tera-Type Spirit Break

And finally, matching up with the Paradox forms of the Legendary Beasts, we have robot versions of the Musketeer Trio: Iron Leaves, Iron Boulder, and Iron Crown.

Standard B: Megahorn | Sacred Sword (IC)

Side B: Leaf Blade | Mighty Cleave | Tachyon Cutter

Up B: Night Slash | Giga Impact | Smart Strike

Down B: Electric Terrain | Rock Tomb | Quick Guard

Final Smash: Grass Tera-Type Solar Blade | Rock Tera-Type Mighty Cleave | Steel Tera-Type Tachyon Cutter

And, like before, all of the bonus stuff will mostly be the same as their original forms, with a little “future” updating. Area Zero for their stages again.

Thanks for reading! And now, let’s get on with those Legendaries. Next up, Wo-Chien bears its grudge.
