Access Ark

ACCESS ARK

Planet Robobot’s whole thing is the concept of Dream Land being entirely mechanized, common sights and locations familiar to Kirby players replicated by moving machinery and tech.

The stage based on the game then must reflect that. It will be set within Haltmann Works’ central headquarters, with lots of moving tech and parts all around, lots of familiar mechanized locations appearing on monitors in the background.

Wester

WESTER

Though Whippy has been the most standard provider of the Whip ability, a masked cowboy named Wester has provided it in a few notable appearances.

As a fighter, Wester will be quick and agile, with lots of attacks for racking up damage quickly. Its moveset will pull from the Whip ability, an echo of Whippy.

Likelihood rating: Probably not.

Telepathos

TELEPATHOS

The ESP ability was also represented in the game by Telepathos, a mid-boss that looked like a living mask with ESP powers.

As a fighter, Telepathos will be an echo of NESP, having even better aerials to it and higher power to its attacks. Its moveset will pull from the same pool.

Likelihood rating: Never gonna happen.

NESP

NESP

Another new ability in Planet Robobot was the ESP ability, provided by NESP, a little dude in a dark cloak. The ability basically turned Kirby into Ness from Smash, with lots of similar psychic-based moves.

As a fighter, NESP will be similar in that regard to Ness and Lucas, being floaty and great at ranged combat. Its moveset will pull from the ESP moveset.

 Likelihood rating: Probably not.

Clanky Woods

CLANKY WOODS

Just like Triple Deluxe, Planet Robobot had a radically different version of the Whispy Woods fight, forcing Kirby to fight a robotic version called Clanky Woods armed with drills and lasers.

As a fighter, Clanky Woods will be much more durable than Whispy Woods, with much more mobility to it. Its moveset will pull from its main boss fight.

Likelihood rating: Never gonna happen.

Chemitory

CHEMITORY

A new copy ability appearing in Planet Robobot was the Doctor ability, which gave Kirby healing abilities and various mad scientist-style attacks, provided by the Chemitory enemy.

As a fighter, Chemitory won’t be too heavily skilled at fighting, but will get by through creative use of science. Its moveset will pull from the Doctor ability.

Likelihood rating: Never gonna happen.

Invader Armor

INVADER ARMOR

Planet Robobot’s entire gimmick was Kirby driving around a mech that had its own version of the copy abilities. Naturally, this mech had to come from somewhere, so Haltmann Works had a common enemy called the Invader Armor, driving by a small round drone.

As a fighter, the Invader Armor will be an exact echo of Robobot Armor, except with the drone piloting it instead of Kirby. I imagine this might make it a bit slower, functioning under algorithms and coded processes than actual imagination.

Likelihood rating: Probably not.

Clown Acrobot

CLOWN ACROBOT

Though Beetle, Bell, and Archer all got their due in Fighters and onward, the Circus ability provided by the Clown Acrobot has yet to see any time in the sun, despite being quite versatile.

As a fighter, Clown Acrobot would be bouncy and unpredictable, with fun and crazy moves hearkening back to the circus. Its moveset would pull from the Circus ability.

Likelihood rating: Never gonna happen.

Spynum

SPYNUM

Archery is naturally an easy weapon set to apply within a given power system, so it’s only natural Kirby would eventually gain an Archer ability, provided by the enemy Spynum. This ability likewise popped up in the Fighters series.

As a fighter, Spynum would be speedy and light, with lots of ranged attacks. Its moveset would pull from the Archer ability, especially in the Fighters series.

Likelihood rating: Probably not.

Beetley

BEETLEY

Kirby Triple Deluxe had a heavy bug-related theme, so naturally, it came with a notable bug-themed copy ability, the Beetle ability, which gave him a big hercules beetle horn to attack with. The move came most from the enemy aptly named Beetley.

As a fighter, Beetley will be fast with high defense and decent strength. Its moveset will pull from all aspects of the Beetle ability.

Likelihood rating: Piranha Plant clause.

Metal General

METAL GENERAL

Last but not least, Return introduced us to a boss in the form of Metal General, a robotic walker with lots of high-tech weaponry. This would make an easy return in Planet Robobot.

As a fighter, Meta General will be slow with high defense and an explosive arsenal. Its moveset would pull from its various boss battles.

Likelihood rating: Probably not.

Dubior

DUBIOR

Return also introduced us to Dubior, a flying saucer mini-boss that would recur a couple more times throughout the series.

As a fighter, it will have high defense and good aerials with lots of projectiles. Its moveset will pull from its various boss battles.

Likelihood rating: Probably not.

Moonja

MOONJA

Though Bio Spark was the OG when it came to the Ninja ability, it is now rivaled for total appearances by Moonja, a similar ninja with ties to the moon.

As a fighter, Moonja will be fast and stealthy, like all of its type. It will be an echo to Bio Spark, pull from the same move pool.

Likelihood rating: Piranha Plant clause.

Whippy

WHIPPY

Another new ability Kirby gained in Return is his Whip ability, a power that gives him a cowboy hat and a whip for striking opponents with. The most common provider of this ability is Whippy, a small cat head with a long tail.

As a fighter, Whippy’s mobility will be limited, but it will be light and speedy to make up for it. Its moveset will pull from the Whip ability in general.

Likelihood rating: Probably not.

Gigant Edge

GIGANT EDGE

Another recurring midboss, this one first appearing in Return to Dream Land, is Gigant Edge, a large armored knight armed with a sword and shield, that tends to offer up the Sword ability when defeated.

As a fighter, Gigant Edge will be heavy and powerful, using its shield for high defense. It will be a semi-clone to Sword Knight and Blade Knight, using its shield in its moveset a bit more often.

Likelihood rating: Piranha Plant clause.

Foley

FOLEY

Though the Poppy Bros. are the best when it comes to the Bomb ability, another rivals it in terms of appearances providing it, and that is the Foley, a flying turnip sort of creature that drops bombs from above.

As a fighter, Foley will have good aerials and explosive attacks, but not much else giving it a boost in stats. Its moveset will pull from all aspects of the Bomb ability.

Likelihood rating: Probably not.

Galbo

GALBO

Here and there throughout the series, you’ll come across a Galbo, a little reptilian blob that generally spews fire, but can come in water and poison varieties as well.

As a fighter, Galbo will be a little tricky in terms of mobility, bouncing around to move itself, and its moveset will pull from all forms of Galbo and their larger form, the Galboros.

Likelihood rating: Piranha Plant clause.

Simirror

SIMIRROR

A rare but rather unique copy ability cropping up on occasion is the Mirror ability, which lends Kirby a certain amount of defense but also some good offense and projectiles. This ability is best represented by Simirror.

As a fighter, Simirror will have the highest defense stat, but some good offense as well. Its moveset will pull straight from the Mirror ability wherever it crops up.

Likelihood rating: Never gonna happen.

Star Dream

STAR DREAM

Just as President Haltmann is about to be defeated, he attempts to power up using an AI construct built by a lost civilization and repurposed by him. Unfortunately, he ends up sabotaged by Susie, and the AI goes rogue.

This AI is Star Dream, the true final boss of Planet Robobot. It is similar in design to Galactic Nova, except with a lot more heavy weaponry.

As a fighter, Star Dream will be heavily shrunken down and will float around the stage. Its moveset will pull from all the various phases of its boss fight.

Likelihood rating: Never gonna happen.

President Haltmann

PRESIDENT HALTMANN

In the end, Kirby fights his way into the Access Ark, the headquarters of Haltmann Works. There, he finds the CEO of the company, wishing to upgrade and improve the entire world.

This is President Haltmann, the first final boss of the game. He built an AI called Star Dream to empower him and bring about his dream, an AI which took over his body upon his defeat and sabotage by Susie.

As a fighter, Haltmann would remain in his seat the entire time, using robot enhancements and mechs to fight. His moveset would pull from his boss fight.

Likelihood rating: Probably not.
