INKAY/MALAMAR
Next up, let's cover Inkay and Malamar, primarily based on squids and cuttlefish, but also on Lovecraftian and Eldritch lore, such as the elder god Cthulhu, their Dark/Psychic typing heavily based on this. They have a general malicious mind-control vibe going on, which you may have noticed heavily emphasized in the build-up to the reveal of their Mega form.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Psybeam > Superpower
Side B: Night Slash > Psycho Cut
Up B: Hypnosis
Down B: Payback
Final Smash: Topsy-Turvy > Mega Malamar
Entrance: Poke Ball
Taunts: Swirling its tentacles and making eye contacts, jetting around like squids do, things like that.
Kirby Hat: Their hat/squid body thing and two tentacles
Kart: The Poke Ball car
Special Move: Hypnosis
Spirit Battle: On Kalos Pokemon League
Victory Screen: Their opponents dancing around, Inkay or Malamar making eye contact with the player and starting their hypnosis.
Losing Screen: Fainted
Color Swaps: Main, shiny, other general colors
