POKEMON OMEGA RUBY AND ALPHA SAPPHIRE

Next up, we return to Hoenn for our Gen III remakes, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. A lot of the core plot and elements are mostly the same, with all of our old favorite characters returning, with updated designs and such. New mechanics have been worked in, like Mega Evolution, with Mega Latias and Latios notably taking over the Fly HM's role for fast travel. New characters include Aarune, who teaches you about secret bases; Lisia, who is your main rival in the Pokemon contests, and probably the first character entirely devoted to that role; and Zinnia, a strange girl involved in the post-game Delta Episode, who helps you summon Mega Rayquaza to help you save the Earth from an incoming meteorite. The most important new location is Sea Mauville, which has replaced the Abandoned Ship.
