SUPER MARIO RPG
And now, let's finish things off with a new release as of yesterday, a full 3D remake of Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars. All of the fun characters and quirkiness of the original game return, with most of their movesets still intact, which is nice for me. They also have full 3D models, so I could updated their character cards someday if I really wanted to, but that won't be today. Even Culex got a 3D model, despite his initial battle still rendering him as the old 2D sprite, and the 3D version only showing up in his rematch (gotta respect the troll move there). Largely most of the changes seem to be quality of life improvements, certain things being streamlined, and so on. The characters all get "Triple Finish" moves, which are super moves that change depending on which three party members are out and who's performing it. Also some of the characters get name changes to line up more accurately with the standard Mario names.
That's really about it. So, we're done for now. I had hoped to finish a couple of days before the weekend and then start up our Zelda return on Monday, but clearly that didn't work out. Can I start up on Wednesday? That would be great.
