Character Sheet: Sahasrahla

SAHASRAHLA

Today, we begin our very first run of Legend of Zelda character sheets, figuring out just what kind of movesets we can pull from all these characters and building a roster. For the moment, we have about fourteen:

1. Link

2. Dark Link

3. Princess Zelda (Currently honorary)

4. Marin

5. Sahasrahla

6. Old Man

7. Hylian Soldier

8. Ganon

9. Agahnim

10. Nightmare

11. Moblin

12. Stalfos

13. Vire/Keese

14. Thunderbird

Although not as strong as Marin or, say, Fi or Midna, Sahasrahla does serve an important role in the plot of Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and is almost a companion like them to Link, contacting him telepathically throughout the game to give him various exposition, plus the game has enough distinctive items (especially magical) that I feel I can reasonably make him a playable fighter.

Most specifically tied to him are the Pegasus Boots, which he provides to Link. Outside of that, Link obtains such magical items as the Ice Rod, the Fire Rod, the Bombos, Ether, and Quake Medallions, the Cane of Somaria that makes blocks Link can push around, the Cane of Byrna that can project a force field, magic powder given to Link by a witch, a magical cape that makes him intangible, and a magic mirror.

Here's the moveset I came up with (just now realizing I forgot to change this line yesterday when I copy-pasted Zelda's to Marin's to keep the format the same. Whoopsie!):

Standard B: Magic Rod

He will draw one of the two rods and cast a spell with it, swapping it out with every use. The fire rod will burn opponents while the ice rod will temporarily freeze them.

Side B: Cane of Somaria

He will use the Cane of Somaria to summon a block in front of him and push it forward, letting it slide some distance.

Up B: Pegasus Boots

He will put on the Pegasus Boots which will carry him up into the air just a little bit.

Down B: Magic Cape

He will cover himself in the magic cape for just a second, making him intangible to any oncoming attacks.

Final Smash: The Three Medallions

He will hold up the three medallions Link collects. First the Ether Medallion will cause lightning to strike all across the stage while the Quake Medallion shakes up the ground. The attack will finish with the Bombos Medallion dropping bombs across the stage.

Entrance: He will be silently meditating.

Taunts: Up, he will hold up the fire rod and make a swirl of fire around himself. Side, he will flip through the pages of the Book of Mudora. Down, he will sit and meditate again.

Thanks for reading! Next up, we have the original creepy cave-dweller himself, the Old Man from the first two games.
