Today, let's begin our coverage of the handful of "Mario Golf" games that happen to feature Mario, but really aren't Mario Golf games exactly. Basically, Golf was one of the many basic sports titles Nintendo released for the NES alongside Baseball, Volleyball, Hockey, and several others. Pretty basic, a very minimalistic representation of the sport being played, not too much to say about it. Unlike many of the others though, this one used Mario as the player character, because reasons. (Captain Rainbow differs a bit on that point but we'll get there when we get there). As it is, that's pretty much all I have to say about it.
