Zora

ZORA

As you wander the overworld, here and there you will encounter a lake or two. From the water of these lakes, grotesque heads will emerge and spit fire at you.

These are the Zora. Though initially just another monster, they will receive an upgrade in Ocarina of Time, transforming them into a graceful race that dwells in Lake Hylia and a secret kingdom behind a waterfall. Ever since, they have been one of the most recurring standard races of Hyrule.

As fighters, they will be fast and deadly, with striking moves that overwhelm their opponents. Their moveset pulls from all their various appearances in the series, matching the moveset of their member, Mikau.

Likelihood rating: Could happen.

Character Sheet: Zora

ZORA

And here's all the characters that I gave a definitive YES to during my second chance round. They are:

1.       Fierce Deity Link

2.       Kalin

3.       Darbus

4.       Ralis

5.       Gulley

6.       Osfala

7.       Irene

8.       Rosso

9.       Queen Oren

10.   Paya

11.   Rune

12.   Kanan

13.   Talon

14.   Ingo

15.   Gwonam

16.   Tetra’s Crew

17.   Kokiri

18.   Goron

19.   Zora

20.   Rito

21.   Korok

22.   Gerudo

23.   Stalchildren

24.   Ganon Blight

Now, we have the Zoras, Hyrule's water type. They started out way back in the original game as enemies, functionally "creature from the black lagoon" types that spat fire at you. When Ocarina came around, they were made a common NPC race, with their design shifting to "high elves with fish parts" as I call them. With Mikau having adopted most of the standard moveset, they can be echoes.

Here is their moveset:

Standard B: Fin Blades

Not as refined and damaging as Mikau's.

Side B: High Speed Swim

Likely not quite as fast either.

Up B: Waterfall

They would be faster at this one though.

Down B: Blue Shield

About the same.

Final Smash: Zora Army

Not pulling from any scene in particular, I just think it would be cool to see them riding in as an army inside of a tidal wave.

Entrance: They will burst from puddles on the ground.

Taunts: Up, they will launch up and spin around. Side, they will shift slightly to the side with the infamous Zora King sound. Down, they will morph into the old Zora head emerging from the water for a second.

Kirby Hat: Their headtails.

Kart: Swimming fast as if underwater.

Special Move: Getting extra launch on jumps by summoning a waterfall.

Spirit Battle: A horde battle on Zora's Domain.

Victory Screen: A number of them will dance around excitedly.

Losing Screen: They will all be frozen in ice.

Color Swaps: Every notably distinct Zora model besides the noted players.

Thanks for reading! Next up, Rito takes wing.

2D Zelda Assist Trophies

2D ZELDA ASSIST TROPHIES

And here's a batch of assist trophies pulled from characters who didn't quite make it in to the playable roster for the 2D games. They are:

1.       Bubble: It will float around the stage, regularly making its barking sound and going after players.

2.       Enemy Trains: It will race across the stage from one side to the other, striking anyone it is way.

3.       Gleeok: It will land heavily on the stage just behind the action, its three heads watching the fighters and regularly snapping at them.

4.       Like Like: It will do like a Like Like does, swallow up the nearest fighter and munch on them for a moment.

5.       Old Zora: It will stick its head up from a randomly appearing puddle of water and spit a fireball at the nearest player.

6.       Wallmaster: Its shadow will appear above a player for a second before suddenly dropping down, grabbing the player, and pulling them offscreen.
