ETERNATUS/ZARUDE
Now that we’ve covered the groups, let’s cover our two
standalone Legendaries. First, we have Eternatus, a big skeletal poison dragon
from outer space that crashlanded in Galar centuries ago and was the big major
threat Zacian and Zamazenta fought against, which Chairman Rose is trying to
awaken now. It’s also the source of the dynamax energy used in game.
Standard B: Dynamax Cannon
Side B: Venoshock
Up B: Outrage
Down B: Dragon Tail
Final Smash: Eternamax Eternatus
Secondly, we have our one for-sure Mythical Pokemon for the
generation, Zarude, a Grass/Dark wild ape Pokemon also based on the Shug
Monkey, a cryptid from English folklore.
Standard B: Energy Ball
Side B: Power Whip
Up B: Thrash
Down B: Jungle Healing
Final Smash: Dynamax
Entrances would be Eternatus’s emergence from the game, and
Zarudes swinging in from the trees. Taunts would feature things like Eternatus
roaring and drawing in energy, and Zarude screeching and beating its chest. Kirby
Hats would be Eternatus’s skeletal hand-head thing wrapped around Kirby’s head
and Zarude’s fur. Karts would be just flying and the car, with Dynamax Cannon
and Jungle Healing as their moves. Spirit Battles would be on Dynamax Stadium
and Slumbering Weald. Victory Screens would be Eternatus draining the energy
from all of Galar, and Zarude doing a happy little war dance, while losing
screens would be Eternatus’s defeat animation and Zarude fainting. Color Swaps
are the main and shiny, with a few other colors (also Dada Zarude, probably).
Thanks for reading! Next, we travel to Hisui for our handful of new variants and evolutions there. First up, Growlithe rocks the competition!
