SPRIGATITO/FLORAGATO/MEOWSCARADA
And now, let’s start up our ninth generation PokeDex with our grass starter for the generation: Sprigatito, Floragato, and Meowscarada. They start out as a cat with the fleur-de-lis (not a marijuana leaf) on its face, developing and gaining aspects of characters like Puss in Boots and Harlequin, as well as Mardi Gras in general, tying it with its fellow starters who all pull from various cultural celebrations throughout the Americas.
Here’s the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Scratch > Slash (II) > Energy Ball (III)
Side B: Magical Leaf > Flower Trick (III)
Up B: Quick Attack > Leaf Storm (III)
Down B: Leafage > Seed Bomb (II)
Final Smash: Grass Tera-Type Flower Trick
The basic thought behind this is that I don't want to leave out Terastallization, so I picked a move I would have assigned to them as Final Smash anyway, and then just Terastallized them into the move's typing (same type as them or not), so you get that extra boost to it.
Entrance: Poke Ball
Taunts: Doing some cat things like licking itself,
performing some tricks with its flower, -looking high-, things like that.
Kirby Hat: Their leaf masks
Kart: The Poke Ball car
Special Move: Flower Trick
Spirit Battle: On Hotel Z
Victory Screen: Doing a little jester dance with its flower
and bowing.
Losing Screen: Fainted
Color Swaps: Main, shiny, other general colors
Thanks for reading! Next up, Fuecoco chomps into battle!
