XERNEAS/YVELTAL/ZYGARDE
Next up, let's cover the big Legendary trio of this generation, called the Aura Trio because each of their abilities has "aura" in the name. They are a whole big mix of references to Norse and Hindu mythology. First, Xerneas is based on Eikthyrnir, Yveltal is the unnamed giant eagle, and Zygarde is Nidhoggr, three mythical animals that live on or around the world tree Yggdrasil from Norse mythology. On top of that, Zygarde's different forms are based on Fenrir, Jormungandr, and Surtr, all bringers of Ragnarok in the same mythology. On top of that, the three also represent Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva of Hindu mythos, the creator, preserver, and destroyer gods. They are all tied into the main plot of X and Y, as well as Legends Z-A, with their power feeding the superweapon used by Team Flare and AZ.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Moonblast | Dark Pulse | Dragon Breath
Side B: Megahorn | Dragon Rush | Bulldoze
Up B: Giga Impact | Oblivion Wing | Thousand Arrows
Down B: Geomancy | Hurricane | Earthquake
Final Smash: Ancient Weapon (X and Y) | Mega Zygarde
Entrance: Breaking free of the tree, or forming from cells
Taunts: A lot of their poses from the game animations, causing flowers to spring up or wither, things like that.
Kirby Hat: The antlers, the wings, and the neck frill
Kart: A kart based on the ancient weapon
Special Move: Geomancy, Oblivion Wing, and Land's Wrath
Spirit Battle: On Geosenge Town
Victory Screen: Standing in glory with light all around them
Losing Screen: Fainted
Color Swaps: Main, shiny, other general colors
