Kirby Miscellaneous

KIRBY MISCELLANEOUS

Outside of the Kirby series, references to the Kirby series exist far and wide, often using his very simple shape as a random texture in a pile of things (tended to be a very common trend in the list I looked up), or his iconic music tracks appearing in things like Donkey Konga and so on. Link's Awakening features an enemy called Anti-Kirby, and Dark Matter features in Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon.

His most notable non-Kirby appearances include Super Smash Bros., made by the same director Sakurai Masahiro. The first game features only Kirby, with a stage called Dream Land featuring Whispy Woods. Melee stuck with only Kirby, while giving him a Fountain of Dreams stage from Adventure, and another stage similar to Dream Land called Green Greens, except with Star Stacker blocks in it. Brawl added in King Dedede and Meta Knight, with a Battleship Halberd stage. Smash 4 kept the same three players, with a stage based on the original Game Boy game on the 3DS version, and a gigantic, borderline unplayable maze of a stage based on Great Cave Offensive from Super Star. Ultimate added nothing new in terms of characters or stages, but did add a Marx boss battle. Knuckle Joe, Nightmare, and Chef Kawasaki all acted as assist trophies across the series, and Warp Star, Star Rod, Maxim Tomato, Superspicy Curry, Parasol, Dragoon, and Bomber have all acted as items. Waddle Dee, Waddle Doo, Bronto Burt, Gordo, Shotzo, Tac, Plasma Wisp, and Bonkers all appeared in Smash 4's Smash Run. Overall, mostly good representation, but I really can't help but notice almost all of it came from Super Star and prior AKA the games Sakurai personally directed, and that does feel a little icky on Sakurai's part. I don't like feeling icky about Sakurai.

Anyway, here's what we've got so far:
