Tri

In 2024, a brand new 2D Zelda game was unveiled, this time starring Zelda as the main protagonist for the first real time in the mainstream series. The game starts out like the standard ending of a Link-led game, with Link taking down Ganon to free Zelda, only for a rift to open up and swallow the hero, leaving Zelda to figure out what became of him and stop the spreading rifts. She encounters a strange little fairy creature in the process.

This is Tri, a spirit born from the Triforce, seeking their friends who have been swallowed up in the rifts. Tri becomes Zelda's main companion, supplying her with the Tri Rod and acting as the source of her moveset in the game. Tri and their people are revealed to be spirits left behind by the goddesses to fight Null.

As a fighter, Tri will act as the gimmick representative for the game, their moveset pulling from Zelda's core mechanics in the game itself. They will be light and floaty, making use of echoes for most of their attacks.

Likelihood rating: Could happen.

Character Sheet: Tri

TRI

Now, let's go over the new characters brought to us by Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. I have the time, so, let's just do the character sheets. Also, I just remembered that somebody sent me a list of Kirby characters, so I'll go through them after this list is done.

1. Tri

2. Dohna

3. Darston

4. Conde

5. Dampe

6. Null

7. Talus

8. Volvagia

9. Mogryph

10. Skorchill

For our gimmick rep this time around, we'll be using Tri for most of it. If you want to imagine it as the Toy/Toon Zelda with Tri following her around, maybe with the hood up to be distinct, that's fine too. Tri will use all of the abilities they provide to Zelda, with all the echoes, binding, and reverse bonds. It's pretty straight forward, so let's go.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Fighter Echo

A fighter-based echo based on one of the many enemies in the game will appear, that will then attack for you. It will be a random from a selection of maybe five, and you can only have one out at a time.

Side B: Bind

You will grab an opponent with your binder ability and be able to pull them toward you.

Up B: Platboom

You will summon a platboom echo, that you'll be able to stand on top of.

Down B: Item Echo

You'll drop a bed, rock, box, or other item, making a new platform on the stage.

Final Smash: Triforce Cleansing

Tri will summon up a swarm of their species, which will start to swirl around in a circle before cleansing the stage of all rifts (AKA opponents).

Entrance: They will hop out of one of those portal things they open.

Taunts: Up, they will swirl around with magic sparkles. Side, they will wave around their own wand. Down, they will create a bed and sleep on it.

Kirby Hat: The Triforce pieces following him around.

Kart: A floating platform enemy.

Special Move: They will perform a reverse bond and let someone else drive them for a while.

Spirit Battle: Zelda and Tri together on Still World.

Victory Screen: An animation of a rift disappearing.

Losing Screen: Tri simply floating colorless in the void.

Color Swaps: The standard gold color, the colors of the six medallions from Ocarina of Time, and a white colorless version.

Thanks for reading! Next up, Dohna carries the Gerudo spirit.
