Character Sheet: Roxie

ROXIE

In Black 2 and White 2, sequels to the first games instead of story remakes like previous generations. As such, the gyms of the region got a big overhaul, with changes made to reflect character growths and movements in the couple years between games, three leaders retiring, one more becoming champion, and three new leaders rising in their place. The first, Cheren, is a former rival, and we’ll be dealing with him when we deal with all of them, so let’s move on to Roxie instead. Roxie is the new Poison-type gym leader of Virbank City, and the lead vocalist of a rock band, her gym an underground music hall.

Here’s the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Whirlipede

It will perform Rollout.

Side B: Guitar Smash

The natural rock star move. Must be included.

Up B: Rocking the House

She will perform a high-note, rocking the entire stage around her with her music and rising a little into the air as she does so.

Down B: Smog

One of her Pokemon will release a cloud of poison gas into the air. Poison’s got to be featured somewhere.

Final Smash: Virbank Gym Rockstars

She will send out Scolipede, Garbodor, and Amoonguss, who will fill the stage with poison gas.

Entrance: Her opening pose and line.

Taunts: Mostly rockstar moves, like rocking out for a moment, doing the “devil horns” hand sign thing, tuning her instrument, things like that.

Kirby Hat: Her hair

Kart: Based on Whirlipede

Special Move: Rocking the House

Spirit Battle: On Black City (omega form), with her original team.

Victory Screen: Her and her band perform a big finale.

Losing Screen: Handing over her badge.

Color Swaps: Her main outfit, outfits based on various famous rock bands (legally distinct of course).

Thanks for reading! Next up, Marlon fishes up an invitation!
