Character Sheet: Kabu

KABU

Next up, we have Kabu, the Fire-type gym leader of Motostoke, an older man originally from Hoenn, with strong connections to the nearby mine and the technology and machinery at work in his home city. His gym is mostly just Pokemon battles for its challenge, so we’re going to have to rely on outside sources.

Here’s the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Centiskorch

It will use Fire Blast

Side B: Coal Car

One of the coal-carrying cars from the Galar Mine will race forward and slam into opponents, spilling their load.

Up B: Lift

He will use one of the mechanical lifts seen around his city.

Down B: Phantom Fire

The TM he gives out. The long grass from his gym might work too, but I don’t know.

Final Smash: Motostoke Gym Firelords

He will send out Centiskorch, Coalossal, and Cinderace, all in Gigantamax form.

Entrance: His opening ceremonies walk

Taunts: Up, using his towel to wipe his sweat. Side, stretching and loosening up. Down, stoking a fire with some bellows.

Kirby Hat: His hair

Kart: Based on Carkol

Special Move: Coal Car

Spirit Battle: On Motostoke City (omega form) with his original team.

Victory Screen: Looking proud, saying his path to champion is still in view.

Losing Screen: Handing over his badge.

Color Swaps: His main outfit, the outfit he gives out, based on a firebreather, based on Centiskorch, based on Vulpix, based on Growlithe, based on Litwick, based on Coalossal.
