Character Sheet: Rival Trainer

RIVAL TRAINER

Since Rivals are a staple of the Pokemon series just as well as the main trainer is, it seems reasonable that they could act as echo fighters of the Pokemon Trainer in their actually playable form, probably with just a bit more "edge" to their moves.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Ultra Ball

Being the competitive little turds many of them are, I figure they would toss out an Ultra Ball that would keep the trapped opponent contained longer.

Side B: Roller Blades

They could use the roller blades instead, showing off a bit as they race across the stage, but doing less damage.

Up B: Fly

Since the player would use a standard Regional Bird, the rival would try to one-up them and use one of the more impressive flying types of their generation. Something like Braviary for the Unova rivals and soon.

Down B: HM

Likewise, they'd use a slightly more impressive Pokemon for each move when compared to the player character, or at least one that competes with it. For instance, Blue would have Pinsir compared to Red's Scyther for Cut.

Final Smash: Team Attack

Pretty much the same.

Entrance: The trainer would rush in, with the challenger approaching musical beat playing.

Taunts: Up, they'll raise a Poke Ball into the air and taunt that they got them first. Side, they will say the famous "smell you later" line. Down, they will hang their head and then pump their fist in determination to get better next time.

Kirby Hat: Blue's famous haircut.

Kart: Their roller blades.

Special Move: Throwing an Ultra Ball and trapping another racer inside it for a longer time.

Spirit Battle: Each one having their core team from their own game fighting alongside them.

Victory Screen: "I told you I was the best."

Losing Screen: The trainer will do a defeated pose and say they'll work harder to get better next time.

Color Swaps: Blue, Silver, Wally, Barry, Cheren, Bianca, Hugh, Shauna, Tierno, Trevor, Hau, Gladion, Ace, Hop, Bede, Marnie, Klara, Avery, Nemona, Arven, Penny, Kieran, Carmine. (Some are up for debate)

Thanks for reading! Next up, let's get into the Gen II Pokemon. First, Chikorita leafs an impression!
