Today, we will finish up our Super Mario RPG bosses with Valentina and her sidekick Dodo, the bosses of Nimbus Land. In the game, Valentina attempts to usurp the throne of Nimbus Land by passing off her partner Dodo as the missing Prince Mallow, locking up the king and queen, and then announcing her phony engagement to Mallow. This is all thrown out of whack, however, when the real Mallow and his companions arrive and chase her out. This character will be a bit more of a tag team between Valentina and Dodo, with Dodo making up a hefty portion of her moveset.

Valentina uses primarily magic attacks in battle herself, being not much of a physical fighter. Her moves include Petal Blast, Diamond Saw, Blizzard, Water Blast, Aurora Flash, Light Beam, and Solidify, all of which tend to follow Mallow's lead of being nature and weather-based. Dodo can carry around Valentina by flying outside of battle, and in battle, he attacks with a series of pecks or by cancelling out the moves of another player. In your final battle with Valentina, he will also carry off one of your party members to fight one-on-one.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Petal Blast
This will work very similarly to how it works in-game, but as a bit more of a straight projectile, with her sending out a burst of petals that blast an opponent in the face.

Side B: Multistrike
This is Dodo's pecking attack. Valentina will point forward and Dodo will lunge out, pecking furiously at anyone in front of her.

Up B: Carry Away
Basically Valentina will take hold of Dodo's feet and he will carry her into the air for a short distance.

Down B: Flutter Hush OR Blizzard
Flutter Hush is the more iconic, with it being Dodo's move to remove one move from play, but I'm not certain how to make it work in game, somehow cancelling out a certain move for a short time, so if I can't make it work, I figure Valentina whipping up a Blizzard works as a suitable placeholder.

Final Smash: Aurora Flash OR Megasmilax
I feel like we've had a few now where the character has a bigger boss as their Final Smash, with Booster having the Bundt and Johnny having King Calamari, so I don't know if I want Megasmilax to do the same for her, and if we don't, I think Aurora Flash works just fine for it too.

Entrance: Dodo will carry her in.

Taunts: Her little hip dance she does when attacking. Dodo scratching his beak and trying to figure something out. Valentina bossing Dodo around. So on.

Thanks for reading! Next up, we'll cover the recurring boss of the first Paper Mario, Jr. Troopa!
