Character Sheet: Doopliss

Are you guys excited? I'm excited. You should be too. You know why? Cause today we get to cover all the freakin' amazing characters from Super Mario RPG and the Paper Mario (pre-TOK) series, and even the not so amazing ones too. Here's the full list:

Next up is Doopliss! Okay, full confession time: this one's a bit of a cheap character slot, as he won't really have a moveset of his own and will be a "playable character" the way Ditto will someday be. Basically, he'll have a basic character model, capable of doing the bare minimum like jumping and basic punches and stuff, with only one special move to speak of. That is, he can transform into one of his opponents and will then have their full moveset. All that's left to say I suppose is a small character introduction. Basically, he's a duplighost who acts as the boss of chapter four, where he haunts a small village, turning the villagers into pigs any time the church bell rings. When challenged by Mario and his party, he takes Mario's form and switches places with Mario. After he is defeated, he joins the Shadow Sirens, recurring throughout the rest of the game.

Here's the moveset I . . . barely came up with:

Standard B: Transform

I imagine he would become the featureless purple version of the character, just like when he becomes Mario (or whatever the colorswap colors would be). I just realized, this concept opens it up for gag battles where players pick nothing but transformers like Doopliss and Ditto, and then having battles with nothing but the bare-bones movesets of each. Sounds fun.

Final Smash: For Pigs the Bell Tolls

We'll have a cutscene showing the church belltower and hear the bell ringing. Every character will be transformed into a helpless piggy unable to do anything except move back and forth. Doopliss will be able to do with the pigs as he pleases until the spell wears off.

Entrance: He'll appear sitting in his green lounge chair

Taunts: Probably mimicking the character's taunts that he's copied, but probably with a bit more of a snarky tone to them, like he's mocking them.
