Mushroom Kingdom U

Although most of the New Super Mario Bros. series would be mostly uniform in their aesthetic, each general stage presented previously probably falling into their general design, New Super Mario Bros. U broke away from the norm with its own unique design concept full of tilting background features and unique landmarks.

The stage currently representing the game’s aesthetic within Super Smash Bros. has the general right idea for what we want, though I’m not as crazy about the switching mechanic in it. I would think a more static stage would probably feature the giant acorn tree of the game as well, which is currently missing from the stage.

Nabbit

After the Wii came the Wii U, a system that sadly did not see much success for Nintendo financially. Nevertheless, they carried on and an installment of the 2D Platformer series New Super Mario Bros. was released for it. In it, we saw Mario, Luigi, and two Toads journeying to rescue Peach once again, but this time, found themselves frequently having to deal with a sneaky purple rabbit who likes to steal important items, forcing the heroes to chase him down.

This is Nabbit, who would go on to see a playable appearance in the game’s re-release New Super Luigi U, which removed Mario and left open a fourth slot that Nabbit readily took up. His gameplay was a sort of easy mode, with him being nearly invulnerable to all attacks. He would then crop up in adventure games and sports games and RPGs all across the board, though weirdly only a few sparse playable appearances.

As a fighter, he will naturally have one of the highest speed stats in the game, with really strong defense too to make up for his lack of offense. His moves will pull a little from his game of origin but also from his many other appearances, especially his appearance in the RPG titles.

Likelihood rating: Could happen

New Super Mario Bros. U Ports

NEW SUPER MARIO BROS. U PORTS

So, today, I'm combining the posts for New Super Luigi U and New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe as they at least are special editions of the same game. NSLU isn't exactly a port, per se, as it was on the same console, but it basically fits every other definition.

New Super Luigi U was a fun revamped edition of the game released to celebrate the Year of Luigi, that removed Mario, making Luigi the main character, with Nabbit stepping up as the four-player slot. The game featured smaller, quicker versions of the original game's levels, but mostly followed the rest of the plot as is.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, otherwise known as launcher of a thousand horny fanarts, was a deluxe edition of the game released for the switch, which included Mario, Luigi, the two Toads, and Nabbit as before, but also with Toadette as a brand-new character. The game also included the Peach Crown, an item solely for Toadette's use and introducing her Peachette form (thus unleashing said horny monster upon the internet). Nabbit and Peachette both owe a lot of their existence to these games, but I've already established their movesets, so I suppose there's not much to say.
