Caresaway Island Tour

CARESAWAY ISLAND TOUR

Wario Ware: Move It! sees Wario and his crew of developers all go on a vacation to a tropical island. At two points in the game, half the crew is launched onto a touring vehicle (boat and bus respectively), as the framing device for the remix levels.

This stage will take place on these two, starting out on the bus as it speeds around the island before it flies off a pier and ends up floating down the river, both trips showing most of the island’s locales in the background.

Leo

LEO

In the game Wario Ware: Get It Together!, Kat and Ana’s game saw them arrive in a small village where a bunch of animals were getting into mischief. After knocking out one of the animals, they found a young ninja controlling it.

This is Leo, a new antagonist and rival for Kat and Ana, who would appear again in Move It! He can transform into animals and puppet them, using them to cause trouble for the sisters.

As a fighter, he will be incredibly fast and will have a selection of animals he can use to fight from a distance. His moveset will pull from his two major appearance.

Likelihood rating: Never gonna happen.

13-Amp

13-AMP

Over in 18-Volt’s personal story, he finds that one of his friends had his 3DS stolen. He finds the girl that stole it, and challenges her to a rap battle to get it back.

This is 13-Amp. After getting beaten, she develops a friendship with 18-Volt and reappears in his story in Get It Together, before joining the team of developers when they visit Caresaway Island in Move It!

As a fighter, she will be more or less a clone of 18-Volt, just adjusted slightly to have more of a musical focus. She won’t be quite as strong as 18-Volt, with more a focus on defense and speed.

Likelihood rating: Probably not.

Character Sheet: Leo

LEO

And now, with the release of Wario Ware: Move It! we gain three newcomers. However, since Cicada did originate as a Rhythm Heaven character, and only appeared briefly here, I have chosen to follow one side of the responses I received, and will be treating her as a guest character for now, leaving us with:

1. 13-Amp

2. Leo

Leo is a newer antagonist for Kat and Ana, appearing in Get It Together before returning in Move It! The twins first encounter him when he uses a special puppetry technique to take control of all the animals in a village and use them to terrorize it. Later, he steals some of their food, runs off with it, and ends up getting swallowed by Cractus. He can transform himself fully or partially into an animal, especially a pair of lion claws. He can also control other animals like puppets, disappear in a puff of smoke, and run at super speed.

Here's his moveset:

Standard B: Lion's Paw

His hands will change into lion paws, and he will slash at his opponents.

Side B: Super Speed

He will rush forward fast, smacking into opponents and automatically picking up items he passes.

Up B: Disappear

He will crouch and disappear in a puff of smoke, reappearing much higher.

Down B: Puppetry

One of the animals he controls will appear and attack a player for him.

Final Smash: Cractus

He will find himself swallowed by Cractus, who will then proceed to attack the stage with its vines.

Entrance: He will appear in a puff of smoke.

Taunts: Up, he will take up a ninja pose. Side, he will transform into a lion and dance for a second. Down, he will recline and enjoy a sundae.

Kirby Hat: His bushy hair.

Kart: Based on his lion form.

Special Move: Puppeted animals will move around him, randomly smacking into other vehicles.

Spirit Battle: On Glitch World, Kat and Ana supporting the player.

Victory Screen: He will look smug as a bunch of animals stand behind him.

Losing Screen: He will scream and try to get out of Cractus's mouth as he is dragged away.

Color Swaps: His normal outfit and hair, one designed to look like Kat, another like Ana, Young Cricket, Master Mantis, Cicada, black ninja garb, and white ninja garb.

Thanks for reading! Next up, I think I'm going to go ahead with it, and declare characters "open to third chances, but only on rare occasions." So, Wooster performs his duty!

Character Sheet: 13-Amp

13-AMP

And now, with the release of Wario Ware: Move It! we gain three newcomers. However, since Cicada did originate as a Rhythm Heaven character, and only appeared briefly here, I have chosen to follow one side of the responses I received, and will be treating her as a guest character for now, leaving us with:

1. 13-Amp

2. Leo

13-Amp originated in Wario Ware Gold as a new rival/friend for 18-Volt, competing against him in a rap battle and having a heavy musical focus. She would return in Get It Together, and even be treated as a developer in Move It! (despite still only being a supporting character in 9-Volt's story). As none of the "Volts" were echoes for each other, I think it works just fine for her to be an echo or semi-clone of 18-Volt, and so, she will be.

Here's her moveset:

Standard B: Boom Box

Probably with a much higher output to it.

Side B: DJ Record

To go along with the throwing disk from his hair, 13-Amp will use a record from a DJ's table to do the same.

Up B: Jetpack

Probably won't work as well as his would.

Down B: Amiibo

Hers will be all music-based. We'll have characters like Barbara from Daigasso, the Chorus Kids, characters from Rhythm Heaven, the band from Wii Music, and Donkey Kong playing bongos.

Final Smash: Rock Concert

She will become the DJ at a concert, with lights blaring around and people dancing, the music coming to a head and launching the player.

Entrance: She will come on with her boom box while rocking out to tunes.

Taunts: Up, she will throw her hands in the air in the "Rock On!" hand gesture. Side, she will work a DJ stand for a second. Down, she will play with a DS for a second.

Kirby Hat: Her hat

Kart: Based on a DJ stand

Special Move: Her kart will start playing music and getting boosts from the beat.

Spirit Battle: On Nintendo Classics, with 18-Volt.

Victory Screen: She will be rocking out to an amazing party.

Losing Screen: She will be slumped on a street corner, looking amazed.

Color Swaps: Her purple hat, a green hat, a red hat, a yellow hat, a black and red hat, a blue hat, a brown hat, a white hat.

Thanks for reading! Next up, Leo runs wild!

Wario Ware: Move It!

WARIO WARE: MOVE IT!

Wario Ware just dropped a new game, in the middle of quite a few releases all probably part of the preparations for the 2023 holiday season. This time, the games take full advantage of the motion controls attached to the joycons, as opposed to Get It Together's gimmick of having the characters be playable cursors. This game features Wario winning an island vacation for him and nineteen friends, naturally meaning his developers tagged along.

The developers included Mona, Lulu, Doctor Crygor, Penny Crygor, Mike, Orbulon, Ashley, Red, Kat, Ana, Young Cricket, Master Mantis, Jimmy T., Dribble, Spitz, 9-Volt, 18-Volt, 5-Volt, and 13-Amp. Each one was taught special techniques using the "form stones" (joycons) for their minigames, which functionally just meant holding the controllers in specific ways. Outside of those, Mona went scuba diving to meet a mermaid and ended up saving Lulu from getting eaten by a fish. Dr. Crygor, Penny, and Mike traveled back in time with Crygor's "time obliterator" and inspired a caveman to draw cave paintings.

Orbulon lost his memory and got worshipped as a god for a while, while Ashley built sandcastles and Red got shrunk, requiring Ashley to try to grow him back to normal with magic, but not quite getting the spell right a few times. Kat and Ana's rival Leo returned from Get It Together, this time stealing their food and running off into the jungle only to get eaten by Cractus, a returning Wario Land 4 boss. Young Cricket and Master Mantis faced off against a pack of musclebound penguins who challenged them to a battle, only for the leader to be revealed to be Cicada, Young Cricket's partner from Rhythm Heaven Fever, crossing over to the Wario Ware series to join in the fun.

Jimmy T. went surfing, just chill as always. Dribble and Spitz now have a floating taxi boat that they accidentally got involved in a boat race, and 9-Volt, 18-Volt, 5-Volt, and 13-Amp all got roped into what seemed to be a haunted house but turned out to be a video game arcade.

The whole game takes place on Caresaway Island, with some notable locations including a volcano that became cursed and a tour boat and tour bus that acted as the big remix levels after you'd worked through the character sets.

Anyway, here's what we've got for possible new stuff:

Characters:

13-Amp: possible echo/semi-clone for 18-Volt. He doesn't have one, so . . .

Leo: dash, claws, animal control, Cractus (should revisit his scenes from GIT)

Cicada: belly slide, palm thrust, leap away, Rhythm Heaven stuff

Stages:

Caresaway Island

Bosses:

Cractus

Thanks for reading! Next up, 13-Amp drops the beat! (Hey, I like that. I should start doing Splash Banner style intros from now on)
