Character Sheet: All Gen IV Standalones

PACHIRISU/CHATOT/SPIRITOMB/CARNIVINE/ROTOM

And now, let's go back and cover the five new Pokemon of Generation IV without any evolutions or anything else to them. First, we have Pachirisu, the generation's Pikachu clone, based on a squirrel this time around.

Standard B: Nuzzle

Side B: Quick Attack

Up B: Thunder Wave

Down B: Discharge

Final Smash: Thunder

Next up, we have Chatot, a little parrot or macaw with a music note for a head, that had a whole gimmick involving the DS's microphone. It was a whole thing.

Standard B: Peck

Side B: Hyper Voice

Up B: Uproar

Down B: Roost

Final Smash: The Player's Scream

Then, we have Spiritomb, a legion of evil souls all bound to an ancient stone. There's a lot of old legends it's probably pulling from, including quite a few Japanese and Chinese, but also things like the story of Legion from the Bible.

Standard B: Shadow Ball

Side B: Hex

Up B: Shadow Sneak

Down B: Payback

Final Smash: Another Soul Bound

Next up, we have Carnivine, pretty simply based on a Venus flytrap. There's not much else to say about that one.

Standard B: Crunch

Side B: Vine Whip

Up B: Leaf Tornado

Down B: Spit Up

Final Smash: Giant Flytrap

And finally, we have something like a pseudo-legendary? I guess. It started out being treated like a Legendary, but now there's one in everyone's phones, so . . . Rotom is a little electrical ghost that can take possession of different appliances, with five distinct appliances it can take over to take on new typings: an oven for Fire, a washing machine for Water, a refrigerator for Ice, a fan for Flying, and a lawn mower for Grass.

Standard B: Possession (swaps between forms)

Side B: Thunder Shock/Overheat/Hydro Pump/Blizzard/Air Slash/Leaf Storm (basically the unique move it learns for each)

Up B: Substitute

Down B: Discharge

Final Smash: Ghost in the System

And that's it for the moves. They'd all come out of Poke Balls (though Rotom could come out of the old TV). Taunts would all be tied to their individual concepts. Kirby hats would be Pachirisu's tail and stripe, Chatot's music note flag, surrounded in Spiritomb energy, Carnivine's head as a onesie, and finally, Rotom's would look like if Kirby was possessed by a Rotom. Karts would probably mostly be the Poke Ball car (Rotom possessing a regular car), with the special moves being Nuzzle, Hyper Voice, Hex, Crunch, and maybe Possession or something. The Spirit Battles would all be on Gen IV stages tied to them. The victory screens would be tied to their theming, and the losing screens would be them fainted. And the color swaps are mostly their mains and shinies.

Thanks for reading! Next up comes the really big part. The new evos, starting with Budew.
