POOCHYENA/MIGHTYENA
Next up is Poochyena and Mightyena, a pair of . . . not quite regional critters. Zigzagoon would be the "critters," but Poochyena could be a rare instance of a "mean critter" like we sometimes get with the bugs and birds. I don't know. They're mostly based on wild dogs and wolves, and hyenas at least in name. Funny story, for the longest time, I swear I had learned that "yena" was the word for wolf in some language and that's where the name came from (and where hyenas got their names), but I can't seem to find any basis for that anywhere online, so I think that was a Mandela Effect or something.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Bite > Crunch
Side B: Tackle > Take Down
Up B: Howl
Down B: Sand Attack > Sucker Punch
Final Smash: Dog Pack > Wolf Pack
Entrance: Poke Ball
Taunts: Howling at the moon, doing that "let's play" pose dogs do, rolling over, things like that.
Kirby Hat: Their heads as skinned caps like ancient warriors used to do.
Kart: The Poke Ball car
Special Move: Howl
Spirit Battle: On Pyrite Colosseum
Victory Screen: Howling in silhouette against the moon.
Losing Screen: Knocked out with the dizzy eyes.
Color Swaps: Main, shiny, other general colors.
Thanks for reading! Next up, Zigzagoon scampers into battle.
