DARSTON
Now, let's go over the new characters brought to us by Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. I have the time, so, let's just do the character sheets. Also, I just remembered that somebody sent me a list of Kirby characters, so I'll go through them after this list is done.
1. Tri
2. Dohna
3. Darston
4. Conde
5. Dampe
6. Null
7. Talus
8. Volvagia
9. Mogryph
10. Skorchill
For the companions of each species in Echoes of Wisdom, I went into it asking two questions. 1) Where are there echo spaces available, and 2) How much does the individual in question actually help. That resulted in three clear newcomers: Dohna, Darston, and Conde. Blossu is much, much less involved in the Faron Wetlands story segment than the others, while Dradd and Kushara presented the problem of there being two of them equally prominent in the story and only one echo available. That said, both mostly just show up at key moments and play their instruments, so it was easy to just knock them out.
Darston was the easiest of the batch to decide on, as he accompanies you pretty much up to the point of you entering the rift in this game, helping you get through certain challenges. He is the new chief of the Gorons, newly crowned, and isn't quite confident in his own abilities yet. For this reason, I intended to place him as an echo for Yunobo, except that Rosso was in that spot. Still, I think it's fine to swap Rosso over to Daruk's echo, and have Darston act in Yunobo's place.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Rocket Fist
About the same here.
Side B: Double Slap
A bit weaker, maybe.
Up B: Goron Cannon
About the same.
Down B: Rock Roast
They did have a slight Rock Roast variant in this game, so it works.
Final Smash: The New Chief
He and his advisors will stand together and deliver one gigantic punch.
Entrance: He will emerge from a rift.
Taunts: Up, he will think for a moment to remember his dad's advice. Side, he will flip through the advice book. Down, he will hang his head and look uncertain.
Kirby Hat: His hair.
Kart: Based on a rolling Goron.
Special Move: Thinking for a minute, then popping up a suggestion for the player, like moving to the right or something, or alerting them to shortcuts.
Spirit Battle: On Death Mountain, with three Goron guards.
Victory Screen: Standing at his throne as his advisors dance around him.
Losing Screen: Floating in the void drained of color.
Color Swaps: His normal color, based on Gol, based on Silv, based on all of his notable advisors.
Thanks for reading! Next up, Conde searches for his brother.
