STAR STACKER

Kirby’s Star Stacker is a Tetris-like puzzle game among the spinoffs of the Kirby series, represented already in part by the Green Greens stage from Melee.

As a stage, I’d rather be a bit more simple, setting it within the game screen, with the various blocks acting as platforms, constantly falling and forming into new formations, bombs occasionally taking out sections and the player with it.

KIRBY'S STAR STACKER

Now, this is for the Game Boy game, not the Super Famicom game that kinda goes by the same name, but also kinda not. Either way, this game is a Tetris-style game, with a bit of an . . . "Othello" twist to it, as you erase blocks by bookending them with matching Rick, Coo, or Kine blocks. Hard Blocks will take two attempts, and Bomb Blocks will clear the full row. And that's really about it.
