RUFFLET/BRAVIARY
Next up, skipping over Bouffalant, we come to Rufflet and Braviary. While Pokemon themed around the real world region each new generation is based on would become a standard from Gen VII on, we would see traces starting all the way back in Gen V with this line specifically. Rufflet and Braviary are heavily based on bald eagles, with red, white, and blue color schemes, and even elements of Native American headdresses, all feeding into a thoroughly "American" picture.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Crush Claw
Side B: Aerial Ace > Air Slash
Up B: Wing Attack > Sky Attack
Down B: Whirlwind
Final Smash: Brave Bird > Superpower
Entrance: Poke Ball
Taunts: Screeching and flapping its wings, a "Unovan" flag appearing behind it, things like that.
Kirby Hat: Their head feathers and beaks
Kart: Just flying
Special Move: Brave Bird
Spirit Battle: On Castelia City
Victory Screen: Definitely with a "Unovan" flag flying behind it as it poses.
Losing Screen: Fainted
Color Swaps: Main, shiny, other general colors (maybe other flag colors, for fun)
Thanks for reading! Next up, Vullaby circles its prey!
