Character Sheet: Melony

MELONY

Next, we cover Gordie’s mom, the Ice-type gym leader of Circhester in Shield version. Despite her disapproval of her son’s life choices, the pair still have mostly matching gym challenges, just with slight differences for their types, so they will be echoes.

Here’s the moveset I came up with:

 

Standard B: Eiscue

Using Ice Beam

 

Side B: Trap Detector

 

Up B: Blizzard

 

Down B: Pitfall

 

Final Smash: Circhester Gym Snowstorms

She will send out Lapras, Eiscue, and Frosmoth, all of whom will be in Dynamax or Gigantamax form.

 

Entrance: Her opening ceremony walk.

 

Taunts: Up, brushing back her hair. Side, examining her plush scarf. Down, forming a snowball in her hands.

 

Kirby Hat: Her wool hat.

 

Kart: Based on Lapras.

Special Move: Pitfall.

 

Spirit Battle: On Dynamax Stadium (omega form) with her base team and an icy floor.

 

Victory Screen: Addressing her son and pointing out how much better Ice type is.

Losing Screen: Handing over her badge.

 

Color Swaps: Her main outfit, based on Gordie, the suit she gives out, based on Lapras, based on Eiscue, based on Frosmoth, based on Galarian Darmanitan, based on Froslass.

Character Sheet: Gordie

GORDIE

Next up, we have the Circhester Gym, which likewise has two gym leaders, depending on the version, but with this one, it is expressly a mother-son pair, with some tension built in with Gordie, the son, choosing to focus on Rock-types, instead of his mother’s chosen typing, Ice. Their gym challenges are mostly similar though, so they will still be echoes or at least semi-clones.

Here’s the moveset I came up with for Gordie:

 

Standard B: Coalossal

Using Rock Throw

 

Side B: Trap Detector

Will buzz to reveal hidden items.

 

Up B: Sandstorm

Based on the one in the gym.

 

Down B: Pitfall

Just like the gym.

 

Final Smash: Circhester Gym Rockstars

He will send out Stonjourner, Coalossal, and Barbaracle, all in Gigantamax or Dynamax form.

 

Entrance: His opening ceremony walk.

 

Taunts: Up, adjusting his shades. Side, searching around with his trap detector. Down, kicking at a rock for a moment.

 

Kirby Hat: His hair and shades.

 

Kart: Based on Coalossal

Special Move: Trap Detector

 

Spirit Battle: On Motostoke City (omega form) with his base team.

 

Victory Screen: Addressing his mom, and showing her what he accomplished.

Losing Screen: Handing over the badge.

 

Color Swaps: His regular outfit, based on Melony, the suit he gives out, based on Coalossal, based on Stonjourner, based on Barbaracle, based on Shuckle, based on Drednaw.
